• Third hard fork is scheduled for 5 October 2026 at 10:00 UTC, at block height 37,410,000.
This hard fork will migrate ZIL balances for @BithumbOfficial, @Bybit_Official and @UpholdInc from Legacy Schnorr addresses to verified Zilliqa EVM addresses.
Following the security incident involving the Zilliqa Ledger app, we worked with major exchanges to coordinate the migration of ZIL to Zilliqa EVM. This included South Korea’s five major exchanges: Upbit, Bithumb, Coinone, Gopax and Korbit. Throughout this process, we responded to the questionnaire and subsequent follow-up questions from the Digital Asset eXchange Alliance (DAXA), the self-regulatory organisation representing these exchanges.
After several months of coordination, we are disappointed by Upbit and Bithumb’s decisions to delist ZIL. However, we appreciate that both exchanges are supporting ZIL withdrawals on Zilliqa EVM, allowing holders to move their funds without completing the migration manually.
For holders on Upbit and Bithumb, there are two withdrawal options:
- Withdraw to a self-custody wallet, such as @MetaMask or @Rabby_io. Add the Zilliqa EVM network using the official network details (dev.zilliqa.com/zilliqa2/end…), then use your wallet’s Zilliqa EVM receiving address.
- Withdraw to another exchange that supports Zilliqa EVM, such as Binance or KuCoin. Check that ZIL deposits are enabled and select the correct network before transferring.
Please check each exchange’s official notices for withdrawal deadlines and instructions. Before transferring, confirm that your destination supports Zilliqa EVM and, if sending to another exchange, that ZIL deposits are enabled.
If you experience any withdrawal issues, contact the support team of the exchange you are withdrawing from.
Send a small test transfer first and confirm it has arrived before moving the rest of your ZIL balance.

How did @zilliqa get its ZK migration tool ready when every payout is final?
Before release, Hacken audited the full path from wallet input to payout: the Groth16 circuit, the Solidity escrow contract and the desktop client.
The tool proves ownership from the parent key one level up the BIP-32 tree. The seed holder can produce a proof. A stolen leaf key can't.
Results: 20 findings, 0 Critical. 18 resolved, 1 mitigated, 1 accepted.
Holders can now migrate from standard BIP-44 and Ledger wallets in all ten BIP-39 languages, and they confirm the destination address before submitting proof.

It will migrate the ZIL balances held in participating exchanges’ legacy Schnorr-based wallets to the new Zilliqa EVM wallet addresses provided and verified by each exchange.
The following exchanges are included in the first hard fork: @kucoincom, @MEXC, @Okcoin, @BinanceUS @bitvavocom, @Korbit_exchange, @indodax, @BitrueOfficial, @WhiteBit, @coinspot, @CoinSwitch .
We remain in contact with the remaining exchanges, including Binance, Upbit, Bithumb, Coinone and GOPAX. We aim to include remaining exchanges in subsequent hard forks to complete the ZIL migration for exchange partners.
