Let’s go back a couple of years. It’s 2017 and @AliOnTheRun1 is a writer, runner, self-described talker and she’s sitting in her living room in her house with a microphone, an idea, and a whole lot of enthusiasm. She doesn’t have a fancy studio, a producer, and any guarantees that anyone is going to listen. What she does have is a belief that runners, pros, weekend warriors and people chasing something big have stories that deserve to be told. So she starts talking, listening and asking really good questions.
Today, The Ali On The Run Show is the biggest running podcast in America. It’s downloaded millions of times a year. It’s where elite marathoners, Olympians and everyday runners come to share their journeys – whether they’re chasing gold medals, breaking barriers or just figuring out how to balance running with the rest of their lives. At the center of it all, this endlessly curious, deeply passionate, and incredibly warm person has built not just a podcast, but a community.
But Ali’s story isn’t just about the show and the podcast; it’s about resilience. It’s about saying yes, even when it’s scary. It’s about navigating Crohn’s Disease, pregnancy, motherhood and most recently, a breast cancer diagnosis, all while showing up, microphone in hand, ready to tell the next great story. Through it all, she’s been a race announcer, a marathoner, a friend to just about everyone in the running world — and somehow the nicest person in America.
So how did she do it? How did Ali go from a kid who loved dancing to a magazine editor to podcaster with sell-out live shows, an engaged audience, and a voice that runners turn to every single week? Ali finally joined The CITIUS MAG Podcast as a guest to share how she built The Ali On The Run Show into the biggest running podcast out there.

HISTORY‼️I believe we just witnessed the first middle school girl to break 4:50 in the mile‼️
8th grader Mackenzie Skelly (Penn Charter, Class of 2029) just went 4:48.97 to win the 2025 New Balance Nationals girls middle school mile. WOW!

In one of the most amazing moments in the history of the Shoe, the Gaudreau family leads the jackets into the Stadium Series.
It’s been amazing to watch the NHL and Blue Jackets continue to honor Johnny and Mathew through every step of the season.

Phenomenal Super Bowl win by the Eagles. Jalen Hurts outplayed Patrick Mahomes again and the game’s MVP has a championship this time. Vic Fangio’s defense suffocated the Chiefs and the normally unflappable Mahomes was sacked time and time again. This is the best Eagles team ever.
Pacing around the dome after not sleeping, as if I am playing today. Odd dude behavior, no shame. GO BIRDS
As a grown man I try not to have favorite players but AJ and Lane always talking about mental health gets me fired up.
Powerful: #Eagles WR AJ Brown nearly took his own life but had a friend that saved his life:
“Don't be afraid to talk to somebody. Don't be afraid to seek help, you know, because somebody was there for me & ultimately saved my life. Keep going”

Cam Jurgens held it together but was overcome with emotions, courageously battling through a back injury after the initial plan was to keep him out… this is as raw as you get…
