Remembrance Day was established after the First World War to honour those who died in service. In 1993, the Manitoba government recognized Nov 8 as Aboriginal Veterans Day - now observed as Indigenous Veterans Day - to honour First Nations, Métis & Inuit veterans.
As we reflect on the sacrifice of all veterans, we wear a poppy in remembrance. Please consider supporting your local Canadian Legion’s online Poppy Campaign.
