I may be in the minority, I may not, but I find it a bit sad that some fans on social media are now jumping all over the comments Gareth made about having one of the best, or the best, squads in the league after yesterdays defeat. Firstly, what do we expect him to say? “Nah, despite the massive overhaul in the recruitment department I think this group is way below par’ 🤷🏻‍♂️ Secondly, having the best, or one of the best, group of players at any level doesn’t mean you win every game as that’s not how the game works. PL: 19th September - Brighton 3 Arsenal 0 CH: 22nd August - West Ham 1 Charlton 2 L1: 22nd August - Stockport 1 Blackpool 2 L2: Salford lost their first three games with probably the best squad in the entire division, having (if rumours are true) spent the best part of £2m on three players alone in Langstaff, Molyneux & Wiredu. You can have the best players, the biggest squad & even money, but that doesn’t make you immune to an off day, a below par performance or losing games of football. We are currently on track for around 67 points with some big players to return, but days like yesterday happen & probably will happen again. And not just to us, to nearly every team up & down the country. I would much prefer my manager come out & be bullish (especially after a big 4-1 win which is when the comment was made) about things as long as he is equally honest when reflecting on days like yesterday where we were rank bad. Which he was. Last week (plus the wins over Rochdale, Tranmere & Bristol Rovers) didn’t automatically mean we’ll get promoted, but equally days like yesterday or at York plus the opening day don’t mean we can’t. It’s a brand new group, like we all wished for at the end of last season, so there will be bumps. I’m going to see where we are in a couple of games time, because this group has reacted well to league defeats so far this season. #Gills #GFC 💙

🎥 THIRD BEST IN A TWO HORSE RACE 🗓️ 17th October 2026 🏆 League Two 🆚 Accrington Stanley 🏟️ The Wham Stadium Worst performance of the season, and comfortably so. Out worked, out thought, out run & generally way off the pace from first whistle to last as we struggled to land on first or second balls & failed to muster a shot on target. The opening goal ultimately summed up our entire display, we then conceded a soft second & were lucky to be thrown a lifeline to trail by just one at the break. We made changes early in the second period, but the pattern of the game never really change & we didn’t learn our lesson when shipping another goal from a set play. A real bad day at the office that has to be a one off, and we also had a couple of players who were perhaps lucky not to be dismissed. 🔃 Please repost & subscribe, both of which are free to do 🛎️ @AGroundsss @Bootroom_tv @Jebbo37 @GamingBlomp @Topliss94 @Joeskelton1620 #EFL #LeagueTwo #League2 #SkyBetLeagueTwo @hadyncity @Kirst_ASFC @acrosspitch @oasscna @markweb73 @ASFCPlayers @AccyForza @Officialasst #AccringtonStanley #ASFC 🔴⚪️ #Gills #GFC 💙 youtu.be/r44zQDdEDvg?is=nAk1…

🎥 FOUR MORE IN THE CUP….. 🗓️ 13th October 2026 🏆 Jersey Mike’s Trophy 🆚 Brighton U21s 🏟️ Priestfield Stadium Plenty of changes like we did on match day one of this competition, but this time we looked to be stronger from the off. We bossed the first half in terms of possession & chances, but when the opener eventually came it arrived from the penalty spot. One quickly became two & then three as we ended the half strongly & in command, and straight after the interval it was four. Fair play to our young opponents though, they didn’t let their heads drop in pulling one back almost immediately and then went on to score two more crackers to give the final score a closer look. Four goals, four different scorers, minutes into those who needed it & players back from injury made this a positive evening. 🔃 Please repost & subscribe, both of which are free to do 🛎️ @john_nufc42 @AGroundsss @Bootroom_tv @Jebbo37 @GamingBlomp @Topliss94 @Joeskelton1620 @TonyToony31 #EFL #LeagueTwo #League2 #SkyBetLeagueTwo #PremierLeague #AcademyFootball #EFLTrophy #Brighton #Seagulls #BHAFC #Gills #GFC 💙 youtu.be/F4Ct-A_vq1s?is=OIiq…

Ollie is now branching out into full length vlogs on top of his shorter ones, and I for one am all for it. Shame about the idiot at the end interrupting him 🤣💙
