Sam Houston Collegiate Prep Elementary, part of Midland ISD, went from a C to an A on Texas's accountability ratings. From 71 to 91.
Before that, the rating had dropped from 89 to 75 to 71, even as students continued to show growth on NWEA MAP. Principal Dr. Michael Garza credits the turnaround to the school's focus on data and strategic use of Wayground's real-time analytics to target instruction.
