In the UK, we grow just 16% of our tomatoes.
We rely on countries like Morocco to stock our shelves – but workers there face poverty wages and unsafe conditions, while corporations and supermarkets profit.
This must end: we need a food system that puts people and planet first.
Yesterday, we gathered on Westminster Bridge to send one clear message: end ISDS now.
ISDS is a cause in trade deals that lets corporations sue governments in secret ‘corporate courts’ over policies that threaten their profits.
The UK must walk away from ISDS once and for all.

Today marks the start of the ISDS Global Days of Action ✊🏽🌍⛓️💥 ISDS allows corporations to hold us to ransom. It undermines democracy, threatens human rights and blocks climate action.
But we can win an ISDS free world together: stopisds.global/en/

ISDS lets corporations sue governments over policies that threaten profits – even when they protect people and the planet.
From outside UK parliament, together with @friends_earth @GlobalJusticeUK and @TradeJusticeMov we're sending the government one clear message: end ISDS now.

⚠️ Synthetic fertilisers and pesticides pollute our water and air, harming our health.
Made using fossil fuels, they drive up food prices and divert attention from real alternatives to industrial agriculture.

Three years of Israel's genocide of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. One year of so-called 'ceasefire'.
Israel must be held to account.
We marched in London today with 250,000 others, all standing in solidarity with Palestinians – and demanding action from the UK government.
Israel has killed 74,000 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip during its genocide, now entering its fourth year.
That number keeps growing – but it’s not a number – it’s a people being ethnically cleansed.
Where is the accountability?
The UK government announced a ban on trade with Israel’s illegal settlements this month.
But this ban will only stop an estimated 0.63% (£38 million) of the UK’s trade with Israel, worth £6 billion in 2025.
If the UK government’s action only targets Israel’s illegal settlements, it isn’t holding Israel to account for its genocide, apartheid and illegal occupation of Palestine.
The UK government must go further and end the UK-Israel trade deal.
Take action: secure.waronwant.org/page/20…

Delek Group, an Israeli energy giant known to operate in illegal settlements in the West Bank, is set to receive £200+ million if Rosebank is approved.
So we've sent a letter to Burnham - warning him that approving Rosebank could breach his new sanctions.

This must add overwhelming strength to the argument for a wealth tax on the super rich.

The super-rich – particularly owners of food and energy corporations – are profiting from the cost-of-living crisis.
Tell the UK government to take action now: secure.waronwant.org/page/20…
Growing poverty is not a business opportunity.
Take action now: tell the UK government to stop the super-rich profiting from the cost-of-living crisis by taxing extreme wealth now.
