Ding, ding, ding - calling Dr. $COPPER Copper is often referred to as "Dr. Copper" and considered a barometer for the global economy due to its widespread use in various sectors, including construction, electronics, manufacturing and power generation. The demand for copper is closely linked to economic activity: when the economy is growing, the demand for copper typically increases, driving up prices. Conversely, during economic downturns, the demand for copper usually declines, leading to lower prices. This correlation makes copper prices a useful indicator of global economic health. Another very important aspect is this: Increased infrastructure spending in major economies like China can drive up copper prices due to heightened demand, while economic recessions can lead to reduced demand and falling prices. Now to the charts and technical analysis: This move looks very strong, and if we see Copper buyers pushing the price above $4.17 monthly resistance, then we have $4.35 & $4.58 as next potential targets. On top of all the bullish Price Action we have above, Copper also printed a textbook "Rounding Bottom" and this week broke above the "Neckline". The projected target of this pattern is $4.4, which is right above the previously mentioned area. I don't have a crystal ball, I don't know what will happen in 2024/2025, but as of now even Dr.Copper is signaling a potential acceleration in the global economy. While a sustained increase in copper prices can be a positive sign, it's important to analyze it within the broader context of multiple economic indicators and factors to understand the overall direction and health of the global economy.
