It’s International Lead Poisoning Prevention Week.
Lead exposure was linked to more than 3.5 million deaths globally in 2023, largely through cardiovascular effects.
In paint. In dust. In soil. In water. In some ceramics, cosmetics, medicines, toys and jewellery. Lead exposure can come from more places than many people realize, which is why awareness must lead to action.

Today is #WorldRabiesDay.
Regular vaccination of dogs and other pets helps stop rabies at its source and prevents transmission within communities.
If you are bitten or scratched by a potentially rabid animal, act quickly:
🔸 Wash the wound with soap and water for at least 15 minutes.
🔸 Seek medical care without delay.
