Today we’re launching Voltage Credit. 👀
The industry’s first programmatic revolving line of credit built on top of Bitcoin payment rails. ⚡
Send payments with instant finality over BTC/Lightning.
Repay your credit line in USD from a standard bank account or in Bitcoin.
Pay interest only on what you use.
⚬ No forced crypto exposure.
⚬ No slow settlement.
⚬ No idle capital.
It embeds a true revolving line of credit directly into the same infrastructure that powers your payments. Your choice, USD or BTC.
Built for CFOs, treasury teams, heads of payments, and product leaders who want to move value on Bitcoin rails with enterprise controls.
Join the priority list today and get access.

Adding Lightning payments shouldn’t give your engineers a second job.
We handle the infrastructure and liquidity, and help troubleshoot payment issues, so your team can focus on the product your customers came for.
Stablecoins are coming to bitcoin.
Let's talk!

BLOCK LAUNCHES MAJOR BITCOIN CONSUMER CAMPAIGN
Block has launched its first major Bitcoin consumer campaign, targeting the roughly 60 million Americans it describes as “Bitcoin-curious.”
Instead of focusing on price or technical explanations, the campaign pitches Bitcoin as an alternative to a financial system where rent rises, banks charge fees and the money supply can expand.
Exponentials are hard to forecast.
Automated payments are going to put more pressure on payment infrastructure than people think.
It is one thing to support occasional human payments. It is another thing to support constant, small payments where cost and reliability matter every time.
That is a place where Lightning starts to make even more sense.

I do not think every chain goes away. I think the market gets more honest about what each chain is actually good at.
Bitcoin is good at being neutral money, and Lightning is good at moving value cheaply on top of it. That is a different role than trying to be the chain for every possible app.
Privacy is necessary for enterprise. This is a great development for individuals, corporations, and the network.
RESEARCHERS PROPOSE “SHIELDED BITCOIN” FOR PRIVATE TRANSFERS DIRECTLY ON BITCOIN L1
The proposed metaprotocol by @allocinitxyz would hide transaction amounts and counterparties without a soft fork, new blockchain, trusted operators or bridges.
Value is represented through encrypted “notes,” with transfers published to Bitcoin alongside zero-knowledge proofs verifying their validity.
Bitcoin itself only stores and orders the encrypted data, while separate software verifies the proofs and independently derives the Shielded Bitcoin state.
A companion paper will detail how bitcoin can enter and exit the shielded system using L1 security vaults via PIPEs.
The finance team shouldn't have to guess whether a Bitcoin export is in BTC or sats.
Sparrow 2.5.5 adds units to CSV column headings.
Small detail. Worth doing. A payment isn't finished just because the engineering team can see it onchain.

Bitcoin went up.
Bitcoin went down.
Lightning settled the payment before the group chat agreed on what it meant.
Price is the conversation.
Payments are the utility.

A lot of crypto use cases over the last decade were not things normal businesses actually needed.
Payments are different. Cheaper, faster, 24/7 money movement is a real business problem. ⚡️
Because Lightning is open, compatible apps can pay the invoice.
Cash App's Bitcoin Payments with USD is one public example, allowing eligible customers to scan a Lightning QR code and pay from their USD Cash balance without holding bitcoin.

Bitcoin keeps running.
For global payment companies, that means the settlement network can be available when the business actually needs to move money.
Send instantly, settle in dollars to your businesses bank.

Lightning adoption is increasingly becoming a product design question, not only a protocol question.
@BitBoxSwiss v4.52.0, released today, adds a mobile-only beta Lightning hot wallet with send, receive, Bitcoin top-up and on-chain withdrawal flows. The beta label matters, but so does the direction: a company known for Bitcoin hardware security is bringing faster payments into its mobile experience.
For payment and fintech teams, this is the larger pattern to watch. Infrastructure adoption becomes meaningful when users no longer have to think about which rail is doing the work. They choose an action, the product handles the payment path, and the operational layer manages liquidity, reliability and edge cases behind the scenes.
This is something the team at @ZapriteApp is hard at work doing, as expressed by @parkeralewis earlier this quarter.
We love to see the advancements. Great work.
Lightning just found another practical job: funding metered AI access.
nullsink now lets users prepay API credit with a Lightning invoice, then use the same key across supported models.
Small payments and usage-based services are a natural fit.

Bitcoin payment reliability is about more than routing and uptime. It is also about how software is deployed, exposed and upgraded.
Two releases last week made that point from different angles. @BtcpayServer 2.4.4 hardened its standard Docker deployment after the project observed bots probing servers where LND access had been manually re-enabled. The release introduced unique passwords for new LND wallets and blocked unauthenticated wallet setup and unlock routes at the standard reverse proxy.
@fedimint also released v0.12.1 and v0.11.3 for Lightning gateways. The project says the releases fix an LNv1 payment-handling bug and add hardening across LNv2 plus LND and LDK backends. Gateway operators were urged to upgrade.
The practical lesson for payments teams is simple: configuration and release management are part of the payment product. Least-privilege access, controlled network exposure, tested upgrade paths and clear operational ownership matter just as much as the happy-path transaction.
GM.
Payment standards mature one merge at a time.
LND added BOLT12 Merkle-tree construction and BIP-340 signature verification to master last week.
It is foundational work, and it moves Lightning interoperability forward.

Bitcoin truly is a marketing strategy for B2C Companies.
Tier 1 ingredients + the best form of money.
You see incredible results. It is not coincidence that bitcoin makes an impact everywhere it touches.
