Chess engines tell you the best move.
But grandmasters are human, they don’t always play it.
So I built "Kibitz": a human move predictor for chess broadcasts. I trained this model on my Nvidia RTX 5080.
Then I made it run as a business by itself.
A channel buys the overlay, Hermes onboards them, charges via @stripe test mode, runs the broadcast, narrates with @NVIDIAAI Nemotron, tracks inference cost, and books its own P&L.
I build. Hermes operates.
This is my demo and entry for the @NousResearch × @NVIDIAAI × @stripe Hermes Agent Accelerated Business Hackathon.
Stress tested my laptop to the max! This was fun to shoot :) youtu.be/SlLSfJ22bSI?si=Ez3A…
Going to do live commentary on Freestyle Friday today at 8.30pm IST

🇮🇳 REMEMBER THIS MAN: CAPTAIN SMIT MACHCHHAR.
An Indian captain flying hundreds of people from Dubai to Tel Aviv was stabbed in his own cockpit.
Wounded, bleeding, with the aircraft plunging thousands of feet, he fought back.
Then passengers and crew did something extraordinary:
They stormed the cockpit.
They restrained the attacker.
Other pilots took control.
And that plane LANDED.
Hundreds of families got their loved ones back today because ordinary people refused to freeze when everything went wrong.
Captain Smit Machchhar — India and the whole WORLD should be proud of you. 🇮🇳
And to the passengers and crew who ran toward the danger instead of away from it:
Heroes. Every single one of you.
This is what courage looks like.
True hero, captain machchhar 🫡
Amazing bravery and presence of mind.
My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery.
Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker — preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster.
He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals.
I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery.
He is a true hero.
Wow! 200K USD + Home + Car.
What a way to celebrate champions.
Really commendable stuff 👏👏👏
Uzbekistan knows how to celebrate its chess heroes! 🇺🇿
Each member of the Olympiad gold-winning team (Abdusattorov, Sindarov, Yakubboev, Vokhidov, Madaminov) receives:

🏆🇮🇳 India win the Nona Gaprindashvili Trophy!

We won the Silver🥈medal at the Chess Olympiad 2026!
We hoped for Gold, but happy with the achievement, as we gave it all & at the end that’s what matters.
Proud of the boys for fighting hard in each and every single game. ♥️🇮🇳
We track sleep, stress, even glucose. But almost no one tracks hydration.
My friend @KunalLunawat built Aqoir: hold the lid for under 45 seconds and get a hydration reading. That’s so cool!
They did 4 years of R&D + trained their hydration model on 2 Million data points.
Launching on Kickstarter Oct 13. You can sign up for early-bird offers: kickstarter.com/projects/aqo…
Not sponsored, just backing a friend. All the best, Kunal 💪

Harikrishna on top. @DavidHowellGM met @adhibanchess on Board 2. And there you see a young @viditchess in his debut edition.
Sethuraman sealed the tie, defeating Short.

Chess rating system worked well for many years but now it’s not the most accurate measure of current strength. It needs a revival imho.
For example: if Arjun & Praggnanandha play a match, and Pragg gets all 10 games as White, the rating will be calculated on equal terms, whereas in reality the odds of matches change drastically as White has significant advantage in long run.
That’s just one obvious weakness. No effects of Inactivity is another one.

Super tough day against Uzbekistan. Indian Open team’s first loss in any team event since 2022.
Starting from the 2024 Olympiad, we’ve had a ritual of picking our Player of the Day. Yesterday, it was unanimous: Nihal.
The message was: Whilst results do matter, the effort and process matter more. Results don’t always convey the full story. It doesn’t show the attitude behind.
Nihal played his heart and soul out. He could have played it safe, stayed solid, and likely, blameless. But he went for it from the word go, despite having Black. It was only because of his incredible fight that the team got into its best chance to beat Uzbekistan after 4 draws between the two powerhouse teams.
Every great result, including our 2024 Olympiad win came on the back of years of preparation coupled with earlier struggles and setbacks. Our result yesterday was a similar stepping stone towards some great result in the future.
The result didn’t go our way yesterday. But I am sure Nihal will win us many medals in both the near, and distant future. 🇮🇳❤️
A chess Grandmaster doesn’t learn just the moves, it recognises patterns.
That's how Akai works. Show it a workflow once & it learns the rules, even the edge cases nobody wrote down.
Deel built it to run their $17B back office. Now anyone can: akai.run

EXCITED TO LAUNCH: Akai (akai.run)
Deel added >$140M ARR in 90 days without increasing headcount by automating~600 Full Time Employees' equivalent in work with Akai.
Akai was an internal tool to automate our painfully repetitive operations in Finance, HR, Accounts Payable, and Compliance, etc. We never intended to make this a product.
But we watched revenue per employee grow from $130K to $215K
We built >8k agents that do the work of ~600 employees
It had such a dramatic impact on our business that today we are launching it for everyone.
How it works: Say you're automating payment reconciliation:
1. Record your screen while manually matching a messy transaction and Akai will capture your screen, voice, server requests
2. Akai will see that you pulled unformatted wire transfer info from an archaic bank portal, put it in some excel sheet, checked NetSuite invoices, payment history, and put a ticket on Zendesk
3. Akai reads between the lines and build a workflow + steps + conditional guardrails. It learns tacit edge cases, like resolving malformed invoice references without you writing a single regex
4. Simply connect NetSuite, your ledger, Zendesk, PSPs, and even legacy bank portals with zero API access
5. Run the workflow and tell it what to adjust in plain English: "strip slashes on wire memos and auto-apply partial payments." It adapts instantly
6. Once it works for you, add 100s of colleagues. Your entire payment ops team forks and extends the workflow for new PSPs, secondary ledgers, or regional settlement rules
7. We automated 85% of our payment reconciliation end to end, eliminating 500+ hours of soul-crushing manual grunt work every single week.
Claude Code/Codex can't do this in multiplayer mode. Every person rebuilds the same skill from scratch in their own way.
Deel built Akai to:
1. Understand backend operations edge cases (it had to work for our 7000 person team first)
2. Collaborative across 1000s of employees
3. Self-Learning from millions of runs
4. Optimises cost and gets cheaper every run
We're so confident that we're announcing an Automation Guarantee:
If our engineers can't automate a thousand of hours of work in your first 30 days, you get a full refund.
Book a demo: akai.run if you're an exec at a company with hundreds of employees
