Users are encouraged to update now to access the latest Unetwork mobile edge network features and tasks.

ALT Distributed device networks are evolving from data collection infrastructure into an evidence layer for automated decision-making. India’s telecom regulator TRAI provides a recent example, connecting crowdsourced spam reports with telecom operator enforcement systems. The emerging model combines physical endpoint observations, AI, machine learning and network intelligence to create structured evidence that systems can act on. Unetwork turns real-world observations from distributed physical devices into actionable evidence, supporting use cases such as caller ID and CLI verification, SMS delivery testing, connectivity monitoring, network conditions and real-device telecom intelligence. As AI agents and automated systems make more operational decisions, distributed device networks provide a bridge between digital decision-making and real-world conditions: observation → evidence → action.

ALT Unetwork version 1.2.4 is now available as a direct Android APK download, with Google Play and Apple App Store versions submitted for approval. The update introduces Ugrid, the new Android APK-only Proxy task, allowing users to share their phone’s internet connection while setting limits for mobile data, speed and monthly usage. Version 1.2.4 also improves Extended Telemetry, task switch confirmation, native Sumsub KYC on Android, device identity handling on iOS, verification recovery, stability and performance. The image shows a foldable smartphone displaying the Unetwork logo and “1.2.4,” with a stylized Unetwork character in front. Ugrid is not included in Google Play or App Store versions.

ALT Alt text: A 3D Unetwork character featuring the Unetwork logo stands in a futuristic technology lab beside a glowing digital interface, representing network observation, verification and real-world data collection. Unetwork turns connected smartphones into part of a distributed verification layer across the mobile edge, using devices in different locations and on different networks to answer real-world queries, observe connectivity conditions and generate trusted network intelligence. The image illustrates decentralized telecom infrastructure, edge computing, mobile network verification and device-powered data intelligence.

ALT Unetwork Community Guide explaining accounts, KYC, UNO and ULO roles, licenses, email requirements and device attestation. The graphic reads “Accounts, KYC and device attestation” with the key distinction: “KYC verifies the person behind the account. Attestation verifies the device.” The guide explains how Unetwork Node Operator (UNO) and Unetwork License Operator (ULO) accounts work, when KYC verification is required, how one ULO account can manage multiple licenses, Sumsub and previous ShuftiPro verification, Change Email vs Merge Accounts, and hardware-attested, software-attested and unattested devices. It also explains current attestation requirements for Extended Telemetry, Entropy, CLI and Surveys, helping Unetwork users understand account setup, identity verification, device eligibility and license operation.

ALT Unetwork community reminder for the next UNO Holders Meetup, taking place today, September 8, 2026, at 17:00 CET in the UNO Holders Stage of the official Unetwork Discord server. The session is for Unetwork Node Operators (UNOs) and will include network updates, current priorities, direct discussion with the Unetwork team, and an opportunity for UNO holders to ask questions. Operators are encouraged to bring their own questions, questions from Unetwork License Operators (ULOs), and any topics where they want additional clarity. The UNO Holders Meetup is part of Unetwork’s ongoing community engagement, operator communication, decentralized telecom network development, ULO growth, and node operator support.

ALT Unetwork guide explaining how UNO (Unetwork Node Operator) and ULO (Unetwork License Operator) accounts, email addresses, licenses and KYC work. A UNO and ULO account cannot use the same email address. Users operating as both a UNO and ULO need two separate accounts with two different email addresses. Each account must complete KYC separately, and Unetwork allows KYC verification for up to two different accounts. ULOs operating multiple Unetwork licenses do not need a separate email or account for every license. A single ULO email account can have multiple Operator Licenses attached and manage those licenses together. In summary: UNO + ULO requires two accounts, two emails and separate KYC, while multiple ULO licenses can be managed through one ULO account.

ALT Unetwork Extended Telemetry enters production on September 7 at 00:00 UTC, ending its calibration period and beginning reward generation for eligible activity. The existing Telemetry task will be discontinued and removed. Extended Telemetry is an opt-in task, and device location must match the ULO country to qualify. Reward generation is capped at the equivalent of five qualifying devices per IP address. If more than five devices operate from the same IP, the available reward allocation is shared across participating devices based on uptime. The structure is designed to improve the quality, reliability and geographic diversity of Unetwork telemetry data delivered to customers. Users should update to a supported Unetwork app version and opt in before September 7.

ALT Unetwork app version 1.2.3 is now live on the Apple App Store, marking the first fully branded Unetwork release for iOS. The latest iPhone build includes improved security and device integrity, stronger connectivity and reliability, Extended Telemetry, additional Unetwork tasks, and platform performance improvements. iOS users can now update to the latest generation of the Unetwork edge network app. Entropy is not currently available on iOS because the task requires devices to continuously contribute fresh random data in the background, while iOS places strict limits on background activity when an app is not open or the device is inactive. Limited iOS Entropy support may be explored in the future.

ALT Unetwork KYC Support Update: Sumsub is now live as the new provider for individual KYC verification. Users who are already fully verified through ShuftiPro remain verified and do not need to take any action. Users who completed ID verification but were unable to complete address verification can now restart the process through Sumsub, including completing ID verification again before address verification. Anyone who previously reached the three-attempt verification limit has had their attempts reset and can try again from zero. Sumsub also supports eligible identity documents that include address information, helping simplify the KYC process. The accompanying image shows the Unetwork mascot holding a smartphone displaying the Unetwork logo against a digital network background, representing mobile identity verification, KYC support, Sumsub, Web3 verification and secure Unetwork access.

ALT Unetwork for Business is now live, giving commercial partners and potential clients a clearer view of how Unetwork’s globally distributed physical device network is positioned for telecom, fraud, risk, identity, research and network intelligence use cases. Over the last 30 days, Unetwork recorded 58K active devices across 185 countries, 3,745 ASNs, 11M observations per day and 366K unique public IPs. The Business page explains how Unetwork tasks are translated into commercial services, use cases and client value.
