Hi, thanks for your contact. The drop in reservoir levels is mainly due to the lack of rainfall last week. At the end of August, Castle Carrock Reservoir was around 70% full, but after receiving 120mm of rain over the following three weeks, it recovered to 100% capacity. 1/2

Hi, I'm sorry this is still ongoing. I understand your frustration, especially when you've been doing your bit to reduce water waste. This repair needed more planning than usual as the team need to carry out a shut off of the water supply before this can be repaired safely. 1/2

The issue was raised as an urgent response, and our teams attend these reports as quickly as possible. However, response times can be affected by other emergency jobs in the area that are being dealt with at the same time. 1/2
We’re incredibly grateful to @DerbyshireFRS , @manchesterfire , our partners at RSPB and @DerbyMRT – as well as our own teams for their dedication, resilience and teamwork to prevent further fire spread across #Dovestone and #Tintwistle

We’re working with partners at @manchesterfire to tackle a moorland fire at #Dovestone
Please follow safety advice - keep windows and doors shut, and stay away from the area for your safety.
Firefighters are currently tackling a moorland fire near Dovestones Reservoir.
Crews from across Greater Manchester, supported by specialist wildfire resources, are working to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading further.
Residents and visitors in the area are advised to keep windows and doors closed due to smoke drifting from the scene.
Please avoid the area where possible to allow emergency services access and space to work safely.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Hi Chris, thanks for your contact. We regularly mow the embankments to allow them to be properly inspected, which is an important regulatory requirement and helps us maintain the safety of our reservoirs. There are bins available at both Wayoh and Entwistle reservoirs. 1/3

Hi there, thanks for getting in touch. Leaks that affect water supply or pose an immediate hazard are prioritised for same‑day attendance. I understand this can be frustrating, but our teams always aim to get out as quickly as they can. 1/2
You can find more information about leaks on our website: unitedutilities.com/emergenc…. Thanks, Beth 2/2

Thanks for the update. I’ve checked this again and can see the team excavated in February to investigate a possible leak, but no leak was found. Several leakage teams have since attended, and the water appears to be coming from further up the hill. 1/2

Hi Stuart, I’m really sorry for the disruption. I know roadworks are frustrating, especially on a busy road. Our team is working to repair a nearby leak, and although they may not be on site all day, the job is progressing. 1/2

Hi @SalfordCCHelp, we’ve attended a few times and the water does seem to be coming from inside the park. Checks on our nearby main road assets found no issues, and chlorine testing came back negative. 1/2

I understand how disruptive this has been, and I’m really sorry for the inconvenience. The team believe they’ve found a broken gully, which is causing surface water to escape. It doesn’t appear to be a clean water leak. 1/2

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all of us at United Utilities 💧
Hi Helen, I'm sorry for the confusion, I'll feed back to the teams about this. In terms of asking security questions, its general practice for us to clarify the property address and your contact details when this is about your water supply. 1/2
This was likely related to the water supply rather than the roadworks, we don't tend to send messages just about works if it's not impacting supplies too. There have also been further bursts on the network within this area since, the team are working to repair these asap. 1/2
