At the Mountain West Transforming Care Conference, our Clinical Nurse Coordinator, Ava, & Dr. Adam Spivak, HIV Medical Director, shared our innovative approach to expanding PrEP access.
Their presentation highlighted a nurse-led Rapid Access PrEP Clinic that helps patients
start HIV prevention sooner, with access to both oral & long-acting injectable PrEP options for insured & uninsured patients.
By combining evidence-based care, nursing leadership, & a commitment to health equity, this model is helping remove barriers to prevention & connect
more people with life-saving HIV care.

2nd year fellow Janki Patel, MBBS.
'I earned my medical degree in Gujarat, India, & completed my IM residency at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. Following residency, I worked as a locum hospitalist for 2 years within 3 healthcare systems in NC.
I then moved to New Orleans, where I practiced as a full-time hospitalist for nearly 3 years. During my role as a hospitalist, I was drawn to the diagnostic complexity of the specialty & the opportunity to solve challenging clinical cases.

Dr. Ryan Brophy was born in San Jose, California & grew up in Boulder, Colorado. He attended medical school at Texas A&M College of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Utah
