Today, as part of Operation Economic Outcast, Treasury sanctioned Panama- and Greece-based law firm Karnakis and Karnakis, shipping agents, and vessels which have supported illicit Iranian shipping activity, indirectly aiding Tehran’s ability to generate revenue to fund its military, weapons, and nuclear programs. Throughout Operation Economic Outcast, Treasury has continued to coordinate with counterparts in Europe and around the world to sever the Iranian regime’s remaining economic lifelines.

Treasury congratulates @TheJusticeDept on launching the Fraud Whistleblower Incentive Program and is proud to commit $25 million to support it.
Americans now have a simple way to report suspected fraud, all in one place: America.gov/fraud.
Eligible whistleblowers may receive $10,000 to $30,000 for tips that lead to criminal charges in qualifying fraud cases. Every dollar lost to fraud is a dollar stolen from the most vulnerable among us. If you see something, say something.

The U.S. economy is expanding thanks to @POTUS’ proactive trade policies, deregulation, and pro-growth provisions in the Working Families Tax Cuts.
Revised GDP data show stronger growth in Q1 and Q2 of 2026, driven in part by greater consumer spending and investment. Forecasters expect that momentum to build in Q3.
The Trump Administration is delivering on its promises by restoring durable growth, unleashing investment, and powering the reindustrialization of the American economy.
Today, Treasury announced that @FinCENnews has identified approximately $270 million in suspicious financial activity potentially linked to fraud against federal student aid programs. FinCEN has referred these findings to federal investigators to pursue potential fraud schemes targeting federal student aid programs and help ensure those responsible are held accountable.
These referrals underscore the Trump Administration’s commitment to eliminating fraud, protecting taxpayers, and safeguarding the integrity of federal student aid programs.
.@SecScottBessent highlights how real wage growth is up and how Americans are benefiting under the leadership of @POTUS.

.@SecScottBessent: “Core inflation is down. Food is below the Fed’s targets. Prescription drugs have had the biggest decrease in history. Rents are down. This is an energy shock. We will get to the other side of the Iran conflict, and those prices will come down.”

.@SecScottBessent: "No one has been tougher on Russian sanctions than President Trump."
.@SecScottBessent: "The Europeans have given Russia and Vladimir Putin more money than they've given the Ukrainians. They continue to gorge on Russian energy... Why should the U.S. go at it alone?"

What began as @TreasurerBeach’s ambitious challenge to more than double @USMint’s annual sales became a historic achievement in FY 2026.
Congratulations to Director Paul Hollis and the entire U.S. Mint team on their exceptional work celebrating America’s 250th anniversary and delivering the Bureau’s highest sales in over two decades.

Last year, I challenged the @USMint team to think bigger, work harder, and more than double their annual sales from roughly $500 million to over $1 billion.
Today, I am incredibly proud to announce that they DELIVERED!
With over $1 billion in FY2026 sales, the Mint has achieved its highest sales in more than two decades.
From our historic America 250 coinage to new products that have captured the enthusiasm of collectors nationwide, this team has proven what American ingenuity, craftsmanship, and determination can accomplish.
Congratulations to the entire @USMint team. You answered the challenge and made history!
Today, as part of Operation Economic Outcast, Treasury disrupted Iran’s efforts to infiltrate the international financial system through an Iraqi bank that also supports Iran’s terrorist proxy militia groups. By dismantling these institutions—including offshore banks and shadow financiers that have moved hundreds of millions of dollars through shell companies and foreign‑exchange specialists across the Middle East and Asia—Treasury is severing critical revenue streams that sustain Iran’s military and proxy forces.

Under Operation Economic Outcast, Treasury’s @FinCENnews issued an Alert asking financial institutions to report potential Iranian regime abuse of religious charity networks, including diversion of religious tithes, or khums. The Iranian regime has been known to abuse ostensibly religious organizations in Iran and neighboring countries to enrich its elites, fund the repression of the Iranian people, and support terrorism abroad.
