It’s Election Day, Texas. For more than a decade, I’ve stood alongside Texas families who believe medical decisions belong to individuals and parents. Over the years, we’ve worked with Governor Greg Abbott and Texas lawmakers to protect medical freedom, parental rights, and informed consent. I’m grateful to every Texan who has advocated for medical freedom. You’ve helped put a family’s face to the decisions made in Austin. If you haven’t voted yet, polls are open today, November 3, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Find your polling place at VoteTexas.gov. #TexansForMedicalFreedom #MedicalFreedom #ParentalRights #TexasVotes

Sometimes the question you wanted to ask comes to you on the drive home. Why this treatment? How soon do we need to decide? Would another doctor recommend the same thing? You can bring those questions back to your child’s doctor. You can also seek a second opinion. Another doctor may recommend the same treatment and explain it in a way that finally makes sense to you. That conversation is why Texans for Medical Freedom works to protect informed consent. As the 90th Texas Legislature prepares to meet on January 12, 2027, we want lawmakers to remember what their decisions mean for the parent sitting beside the exam table. You should be able to ask another question, seek a second opinion, and understand what you’re agreeing to for your child. Save this question for your next appointment: “If we’d like a second opinion, what records should we bring?” #TexansForMedicalFreedom #InformedConsent #ParentalRights #txlege

You shouldn’t have to become a policy expert to have a say in your family’s medical care. With 74 days until the 90th Session, TMF’s purpose remains clear: help Texans understand their rights and make sure their concerns are heard at the Capitol. The work starts before lawmakers take their seats. Help carry it forward: texansformedicalfreedom.org/ #MedicalFreedom #ParentalRights #InformedConsent #TxLege #TexansForMedicalFreedom

Being pro-life means not only protecting a child's right to be born, but also protecting their health and their future. Vaccine safety and informed consent absolutely belong in that conversation. #ProLife #VaccineSafety #VaccineInjuryPrevention #InformedConsent #TexansForMedicalFreedom

Consent doesn’t stop mattering when someone enters a nursing home. And concerns about possible vaccine injury should never be brushed aside. This is why TMF works to keep medical decisions in your hands, at every age. #InformedConsent #MedicalFreedom #TexansForMedicalFreedom

Accountability matters. So does getting the facts right. Families bringing claims of vaccine injury should have their evidence heard and fairly examined. A court case isn’t proof of wrongdoing, but their questions warrant a serious response. #MedicalFreedom #InformedConsent #Accountability #TexansForMedicalFreedom

Before someone asks for your vote, ask them this: Will you protect my right to make medical decisions for my family? A party label isn’t enough. We want a clear answer. Read more: themahareport.com/p/stand-fo… #MedicalFreedom #ParentalRights #InformedConsent #TexansForMedicalFreedom

Consent to a procedure isn’t blanket permission. Parents should know what’s planned and have the freedom to say no. Ask exactly what you’re authorizing. #InformedConsent #ParentalRights #MedicalFreedom #TexansForMedicalFreedom

Opening a research center is a start. What matters next is whether patients get answers they can use. That means listening carefully, investigating possible harms, and sharing findings openly, even when the answers are complicated. Informed consent depends on honest information. Following this research through matters to every family making a medical decision. Read more: statnews.com/2026/10/26/nih-… #MedicalFreedom #InformedConsent #TexansForMedicalFreedom

Asking questions about a medical decision should open a conversation, not close one. Our Executive Founder, Jackie Schlegel, joins The Voice of Reason with Andy Hooser to discuss vaccine injury research, childhood vaccination, and TMF’s commitment to informed consent and parental choice. At the heart of our mission: medical decisions made with clear information and without coercion. 🎧 Listen to the episode - hooserreason.simplecast.com/… #TexansForMedicalFreedom #MedicalFreedom #InformedConsent #ParentalRights #JackieSchlegel #TheVoiceOfReason

“Close Your Eyes, We’ll Immunize.” Seriously? Vaccinating children while they're under anesthesia is now a hospital revenue strategy? Hospital documents reportedly show more than $60,000 in revenue generated through this practice, raising serious questions about what's driving medical decisions. Children are patients. Not revenue opportunities. Parents get informed! Read the article: thefocalpoints.com/p/childre… #TexansForMedicalFreedom #MedicalFreedom #InformedConsent #ParentalRights
