Working on behalf of Nash County, I was proud to secure more than $14 million in funding through the 2026 State Budget for important local projects and organizations, including:
✅ Up to $6.6 million to the City of Rocky Mount to replace the Old Mill Road sewer pump station.
✅ $5 million to the Rocky Mount-Wilson Airport.
✅ $500,000 to the Free Will Baptist Children’s Home in Middlesex.
✅ $500,000 to Monarch Behavioral Health’s outpatient office in Rocky Mount.
✅ $500,000 to the City of Refuge Foundation to help construct an accessible children’s park for children with disabilities.
✅ $500,000 to Carolina’s Gateway Partnership for economic development.
✅ $250,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of the Tar River Region for the continued renovation of the old armory.
✅ $250,000 to Peacemakers of Rocky Mount.
✅ $200,000 to North Carolina Wesleyan University.

I have supported bills to require law enforcement cooperation with ICE to keep our state safe.
This is Jaime Santiago Corona, a three-time deported illegal immigrant who has been arrested in Pitt County and charged with killing a 6 year-old girl.
Just a few weeks ago, House Democrats introduced HB 1183, which would prohibit North Carolina law enforcement officers from assisting federal immigration authorities. #ncpol
