Statistics say otherwise.
Graham Souness makes a living talking absolute nonsense.
Bukayo Saka is one of the most fouled players in the Premier League, yet he takes an unbelievable amount of punishment and still tries to stay on his feet instead of going down at every opportunity.
Maybe that’s the problem. He gets punished for being too honest.
Put some respect on Saka’s name.
🤕 “Saka DIVES all over the place... the minute he looks like losing possession, he’s down!”
🚫 “Anyone who simulates a foul is a CHEAT!”
Graeme Souness calls Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka a “cheat” for going down too easily...

From this clip, you can clearly see that Gyökeres is not the only player whose runs our players fail to pick out.
Look at the run Bruno Guimarães made here. An ordinary pass from either Rice or White into his path would have created a serious attacking threat, but neither of them picked him out.
This is exactly why I keep saying it’s a system issue, not just a Gyökeres issue.
It’s not simply about players refusing to pass to Gyökeres when he makes a run. Our players are missing runs in general, and that’s a bigger problem than some of you realise.
We need to improve how we recognise and release these runs. Otherwise, we’ll keep blaming the striker when the problem starts much earlier in the build-up.
Exclusive book extract: a few months before joining Arsenal as head coach, Mikel Arteta came close to accepting another managerial position: Newcastle United. More details on that, plus a story about Chelsea attempting to hijack the Calafiori deal, here:

The integrity of the season is already gone - thanks to Manchester City.
Over a decade of English football has been a farce - thanks to Manchester City.
The punishment should be far harsher than guaranteed relegation.

Ezri Konsa has the highest pass accuracy (96.1%) of any player in the Premier League this season. 🎯

Points deduction should be the least punishment they receive.
Does the Premier League judicial system realise the gravity of City’s offences?
They literally committed the biggest financial crimes in the history of football, not just English football alone.
They robbed clubs of titles, robbed players of honours, and cooked the books with fabricated and manufactured revenues from non-existent companies.
To make things worse, they didn’t comply with the authorities. Instead, they accused the authorities and threatened the entire league.
They should be exiled from the English game forever and have all their titles stripped.

🚨Tim Cahill praises Gyökeres after Arsenal’s win against Nottingham Forest : 🗣️
“If we are to analyze what Gyökeres does, not only is he a great CF presence, he always pins back the two centre backs and he creates space for others.”
There was an instance in the 71st minute he did that to create space for Declan Rice to shoot.”
Arteta has a blind spot when it comes to strikers !! #afc

If Forest scored from this…
- Martinelli v Wolves
- MLS v Wolves
- Delap today
3 examples of Michael Oliver making very questionable calls to overly penalise Arsenal on the other end of a fast break from the other team.
You can’t just change the rules because you’re angry.
Delap: "I'm going to take a throw in, jumping with both feet off the ground, and you're going to say nothing!
Oliver: "Go on son!"

Manchester City referee, Micheal Oliver tried to cost Arsenal three points yesterday.
I have never seen a thing like this being allowed and I probably won't ever see a thing as such being allowed again, unless it is against Arsenal. xitter.cf/keepleston/status/2111…

LW simplifies Madueke’s game. It reduces his decision making dilemma and forces him to be direct and efficient.
All he has to do at LW is receive the ball, pass to a runner, put in crosses, run in behind, shoot, compared to RW where his options are open

Viktor Gyökeres was really good when he came on today. He stretched Forest, he pulled players out of position, he was strong in the duel & that’s much more like what we want be seeing from him. Loved how he reacted to winning a throw in too! 🙌🏼

Genuine question for Arsenal fans.
Can anyone explain one net positive thing Havertz adds to this Arsenal team?
He’s always unavailable in the box to meet crosses because he’s busy doing DM and overlapping RW shifts. He doesn’t create chances despite dropping deep.
At least be a Harry Kane if you want to drop deep.
Alot of our issue would be solved with Gyökeres up top, better for Eze better for Bruno better for Saka - Saka had no space today all due to Havertz floating into MF leaving Forest backline in easy street !! #afc
