Give your goals something more than good intentions.
“Someday” makes no demands.
Today requires you to take action.
Give your goals something more than good intentions.
Stop wasting your mistakes
Every time you fall short, you have something to learn. Stop worrying about how failure makes you look.
Focus on how it can make you better.
Belief means doing the work before the results give you a reason to.
The game will test your belief before it rewards it.
You’ll put in work that doesn’t show up on the scoreboard. You’ll make progress that hasn’t turned into wins.
Keep showing up. Keep correcting mistakes. Keep competing.
Don’t wait for a bigger role to bring a bigger commitment.
Your role can change in one play. Your habits can’t.
The work you’ve done comes with you when you step into the game. So does the work you’ve avoided.
Make today’s preparation worthy of tomorrow’s responsibility.
Every player wants to be part of a winning team.
Not every player is willing to live by the standards it takes to build one.
Your standards aren’t defined by what you say.
They’re defined by what you do.
“Be responsible for your own self determination, that’s accountability.”
Great players understand that being coached is an opportunity.
Getting better is a responsibility.
You can't compete freely when you're constantly worried about the result.
The best competitors don't allow the scoreboard to dictate their effort, confidence, or focus.
They stay present, trust their work, and compete to their standard.

Coaching, when done right, is a cause not a career.
Impacting the scoreboard is important to keeping our job, but never the reason we do our job.
The goal is to win in games.
The mission is to help build people who win at life.
You can’t expect exceptional results with an ordinary commitment.
"Whatever you want in life you are going to have to sacrifice something.
If you want a lot, you are going to have to sacrifice a lot.
What you put in, normally you get out."
Wanting a result doesn’t make it happen.
Taking responsibility for what you control gives you a chance.
Value the work. Stay committed to the process.
Let the results follow.
Bob Bowman knows this better than anyone else:
"Value the process more than any particular outcome. Outcomes largely depend on what other people do and we have no control over that. What we do have control over is ... the way that we choose to train, the standards that we hold for ourselves, the attitude we bring to our work. If we focus on controlling the controllables, the outcomes will naturally flow from that."
Give your energy to what earns the result you want.
“When you worry about results, like so many people in our society do, it makes it tough to ever be happy. We don’t concern ourselves with the results, we try to focus on what exactly it is we want to achieve Unbelievable effort, toughness, resiliency. If you do that, you’ll get good results.”
You can’t protect your ego and build your potential at the same time.
Real change requires real work and real work takes time.
If you are concerned with the quantity of your game minutes, start to concern yourself with the quality of your practice minutes.
Playing time isn't given. It's earned.
"At some point, skill levels even out and hard work becomes the baseline...some may think hard work and being a competitor are the same, but the distinction is what separates good athletes from great ones."
