Most AI in financial services is still stuck at the proof of concept stage. Rafa Casado (@Renta4Banco ), Laurent Decrue (@holycode_it) and Dor Eligula (@BridgeWiseAI) spent an hour on why, and on what it takes to get past it. Four things worth taking away: ❯ Customers are moving faster than institutions. Clients are already running AI over their own bank's materials. Rafael's take: if you don't do it, the customer will do it for you. ❯ Partner, but keep the knowledge. The panel agreed on working with specialists who have done this before in finance, then moving that know-how in-house rather than signing a decade away to one provider. ❯ Readiness is a data question, not a model question. Laurent's point: reliable structured data, infrastructure, governance and access rights decide the outcome long before the model choice does. ❯ Once you are commoditised, switching costs nothing. Dor's warning: the barrier that used to hold customers in place is mostly gone, and willingness to switch is high.
