In July 2021, a similar Gem Mint 10 Pokémon Illustrator (graded by another third-party grader) set a world record as the most expensive Pokémon card ever sold/traded (deal value est. $5.275 million.) The card artwork of Pikachu holding a paintbrush was done by none other than the creator of Pikachu, Atsuko Nishida. The Katakana characters have been inscribed along side the other card data on the top of the transparent TAG slab.

Based on our current trajectory, we are estimating full backlog catch-up in October. Due to anticipated demand, access to today’s drop will be managed through a randomized queue. Entering the waiting room does not guarantee access, and arriving early will not improve your position. At 5PM PT, everyone in the waiting room will be randomized and customers will be admitted as capacity becomes available. Availability is limited, and the drop may reach capacity before everyone in the queue is admitted. We’ll continue carefully managing in-take of new submissions while prioritizing clearing the existing orders already in-house so that we meet our estimated turnaround times.
