An Airbus A320 (regardless of CEO or NEO) never looks old to me. While a Boeing 737-800 is the absolute "newer" airplane for me. Anything older than that is old.

Got Windows reinstalled on the Gen 3 drive of my gaming PC while the Gen 4 drive is Omarchy's. While waiting for the install to finish, I thought a lot about PC gaming with my son. Proceeded to install the games that I play. This time Roblox is first class, playing it everyday with my son. He keeps finding games where we both like and compete for. In this day and age, I truly feel this is the best way to be an example as parents to their children (sons?). There are a lot to be taught to my son like learning to lose. For the crowds that spent their teenage years in the 90s, computers at that time were finicky yes? Remember the pins we have to set on our IDE drives to mark drives as primary or secondary? That same way of thinking is there in games. There's also a whole economy behind it, I want my son to spend Robux but I want him to spend wisely for the things that'll multiply his efforts although vanity spendings like for his avatar still is there but he knows how to think strategically. There are other drivers to play Roblox with my son (like separated between Dubai & Jakarta for now) but I see Roblox (and other games) as a net positive for my son. If nothing else, he understands what street creds is and he's teaching me & his friends about this. He's building his taste and this is a win as his parent. He also knows (because I told him & he proved it) that his current PC in Jakarta is underspec'ed to play the other games he play like Teardown. He used to use a beefy Ryzen AM5 PC + Radeon 6900X GPU but now is on Intel 9th gen + Radeon 5700X GPU. Went back a couple of generations BECAUSE OF RAM/SSD PRICES ASKING FOR A KIDNEY! He's ok with the spec but I've promised him to bring back the hardware from Dubai back to Jakarta for him to destroy cities in Teardown. My son went the rabbit hole of Roblox first and I followed. I was surprised with what I found, we became much much closer when we're separated by distance by teaming up in games we both play. I feel if you're a parent of toddlers to pre-teen children, Roblox is a great way to flex that friendship/team-mate vibe while still parenting them.

Follow up to the last tweet. Now back in Dubai and running Omarchy Quattro on this beefy PC. I wanted to prove something that Omarchy benefits more on a fast NVMe as opposed to CPU/RAM. This PC is 1 generation behind the latest but RAM is aplenty and DDR5. The install took 1 minute 20 something seconds. I have 2 NVMe drives, I'm installing this on the slower one, a Gen 3 drive. The other PC installed in 1 minute 30 something seconds, negligible. Honestly it doesn't make much of a difference inside the OS itself. Next up is to clone from the Gen 3 drive to the Gen 4 drive then completely wipe the Gen 3 drive for Windows since Omarchy won't play Flight Simulator as flawless as Windows would. xitter.cf/tista/status/209477478…
Switched on my PC and oddly when the Omarchy desktop is up, it felt like home. The tiling window manager is an acquired taste but everything else is great. The webcam, airpods and my xm5 just works. A slight stumble because I bought a knock off bluetooth dongle that works on Windows but not on Linux. I did not install any IDE or text editor. Nowadays my IDE is Discord, that's where I communicate intent to the agents and review stuffs. This 4 core/4 thread CPU with 16 GB DDR4 RAM is just fine. The NVMe matters more, way more to quickly boot and or launch apps. Gaming is not great yet, my GTX 1650 GPU runs poorly on a 4K screen but this will soon be tamed. I did not miss macOS today, I will soon knowing all my personal stuffs are in iCloud. The last time I went full Omarchy, it lasted 2 weeks.

Keluar rumah ga pake kacamata ke bank. Diminta tandatangan, coba baca dokumennya susah 😆😆😆 Kecil banget font nya ampun. Bersyukurlah yang matanya masih bisa baca font kecil, layar 4k jd banyak real estate space.

Been trying open weights models this August. Especially Deepseek v4 flash/pro and Qwen 3.8. Mindblown 🤯 by their intelligence and pricing. Got me to a point to downgrade my Claude Max to Pro. Especially with Opus 5, it’s reason alone to change ship (kidding). I thought my heavy usages would be scary to pay per token but the reality is, it’s not anymore. Deepseek v4 made that possible for many and I. My biggest take away is that by paying per token, i now have the ability to spawn more coding agents to get more things done in parallel. Opportunity cost is not something to pay anymore or at least with a heavy discount. I’m doing this with pi.dev - this is a FastAPI but for coding agents. Infinitely customizable to my own liking. I enjoy building my own harness as a pi extension. I’m scratching the surface here but I’m optimistic there’s a product to be build. As much as I enjoy Anthropic’s take on AI/LLM, I don’t enjoy running out of quota on my $200 subscription. Not to mention the downtimes. Claude Code is the first coding agent that convinced me that vibe coding is not a fad. Productivity benefits when it works and quota is available. Last week, even though we’re getting +50% quota until 31 August, i spent my weekly quota for a 29 cards build. It was only at the third when it ran out of quota. Granted i did more than just that epic beforehand. Is it my harness’ fault? Well no. I ported the harness to pi and it legitimately spent much fewer token than Claude Code working on similar tasks over time. New LLM models needs fewer hand holdings and that shows in my usages of pi. On another note, i also feared i’d lose out on the convenience of Claude Desktop. Then i got serious with Hermes Agent through Discord. I don’t miss Claude Desktop anymore, I can do every single thing on Hermes too. Deepseek v4 Flash is my default model and it’s more than enough. What changed in me is that with the same $200 like what i used to pay for Claude Max, i can do more with less. And this is still paying OpenRouter’s 5% tax. I built a wholly functioning product for my private use for $5 fully on Deepseek v4 Flash. Mindblowing 🤯 This also strengthens my view that codebases are becoming artifacts of a higher level language: English or any language the LLM understand. There’s still a matter of taste, no matter how intelligent a model is, it’s always garbage in garbage out. This is where knowledge compounds for us the humans. Generalists should be happy this time and age has arrived. My take on a harness for pi: github.com/tistaharahap/pi-c… It’s still rough on the edges but the functions are all running. I can now run the council to build the council. Still a long way to go but I’m all in on pi, i really enjoy micro frameworks. What better way than to dogfood myself the very product i’m building and use it everyday? I build for me first.

TIL I can do `:q!` on Claude Code and it actually exits.

I asked Claude to tell me the density of SPKLUs or EV charging stations in Indonesia. Then I'm going to build an EV trip planner out of this. claude.ai/code/artifact/4d81… All of the data derived from: petaspklu.id/ Don't ask me how, ask Claude.
