Happy birthday to the estimable @brennig
Tragic.. it was only when I stopped to listen to to it (I had to.. it was playing vaguely in the background of the blood donation place) that I realised that Fantasy by Mariah Carey sampled Genius of Love by Tom Tom Club. I thought Heart was playing something good for a moment.
I love the exquisite profundity of @Writerer's Point Of View essays on @BBCRadio4 - I find this particular one unarguable, and it should be mandatory listening for schools so developing minds understand and think. (Ever thought of doing assemblies, AL?)

Replying to @Documentally
@Documentally I just read your latest email newsletter - and what a lovely tribute to Will Green. Thank you. I never met him in person but existed in the same podcast galaxy at least; it was a privilege to have done so. A true British gentleman. To the glorious mysteries of life.
Oh my.. @sfdrummer (thanks, Russ!) has just prompted the recollection that I did meet Will - at a British Tech social - and many drinks and laughs were enjoyed. I consider myself fortunate to have spent time with him online and in person. I'm grateful for the chance to share.

I hope you got to know Will Green of @BritishMac. Funny and eccentric with a lot of love to give. I shall miss him. He was a lovely human being. documentally.substack.com/p/β¦
makes a mental note: Stephen Fry, Adam Hart-Davis, Rolf Harris, Olivia Colman, Liza Tarbuck & Chris Morris would be my ideal dinner guests..
71% is almost full..? That's hardly more than half-way... "almost full" is when I have just finished a family pack of custard creams...

Obviously his second attempt at a #Eurovision song but no questioning Neil Hannon's comedy genius...
What's the secret to the perfect #Eurovision song? On The Culture Show in 2007, The Divine Comedyβs Neil Hannon revealed four essential ingredients and performed his own Euro-style creation, Trafalgar. Cue key change!
The Culture Show: Eurovision, 2007
"A meaningless statement offends no-one." According to Hannon, 'gibberish' lyrics are one of the key elements in the Eurovision formula.
