News: MLB sent a 34-page memo to owners and high-ranking officials across the league detailing what to expect — and how to act — during the lockout. MLB’s official website and club websites will again be scrubbed of player images and videos. And holiday cards? MLB says clubs shouldn't send them to players after Dec. 2. nytimes.com/athletic/7670102…

The Giants don't need to BUY a closer. They need to find one. @JeremyAffeldt saw Sergio Romo and Santiago Casilla grow into their roles. He wants the Giants hunting for the next version this winter.

Some Giants officials see next season looking like 2008 or ’09. Here’s what that could mean

The San Francisco Giants might not be in full-rebuild mode for next year, but this past season’s youth movement bears similarities to the start of the Bruce Bochy-Buster Posey era.

“If there’s a high-leverage reliever that’s willing to sign, SIGN HIM.” @JeremyAffeldt has a pretty simple offseason blueprint for Buster Posey and the Giants.

On the field, the San Francisco Giants started badly and got worse. Outside the lines, they found additional ways to alienate their disappointed fans. Can they fix any of it?
