$2.1 trillion sits in 401(k)s from old jobs. Is any of it yours? Left $2,000 in an old 401(k)? Your ex-employer can move it into an IRA you never chose. At $100 to open, $5 a month and about 1% interest, $1,471 is left after 10 years. No crash. Just fees.

Two free searches take 15 minutes, and about 3 in 10 people who run the federal one find a plan in their name. How to check: supermoney.com/forgotten-401…

I started a company in 2013 to help people compare financial products. I've spent every year since watching the same thing. Someone paying 28% on a card who could be paying 12%. Someone with $40,000 in checking earning nothing. Same story in every product, on both sides of the balance sheet. The better answer is always out there. But finding it means starting over for every product you have, against hundreds of providers, one form at a time. Nobody does that. And the ones who try hand their information to a site that promises to help, then field phone calls for six months. That's what passes for help here. Your data, sold to whoever pays the most. Meanwhile the people who get real advice are the people who already have money. The financial advice industry serves fewer than 1 in 10 American households, and not out of snobbery. At 1% on assets, a $250,000 client generates $2,500 a year, and a real planning relationship costs more than that to deliver. The math never worked, so 90% of the country was left to figure it out alone. They do not do well alone. The average household loses around $1,000 a year to credit card interest and fees. That's one product. There is $18.8 trillion of household debt in this country, and every dollar of it started as a decision somebody made with no one on their side. That math just changed. Not because AI can answer questions. Because it can finally do what a comparison table never could: look at your actual situation, work out what you qualify for, and do the annoying part for you. For everyone. At once. At any balance. So I'll say the part I actually believe. I am not building a better comparison site. I am building the Amazon of financial services. One place that sees your whole balance sheet, knows what you qualify for across lending, insurance, banking, tax and credit, and acts on it. Not fifty apps that each see one product and none of the person. "We don't make money when we sell things. We make money when we help customers make purchase decisions." - Jeff Bezos We make money when you make a better decision. That's the goal. Our North Star is 100 million households at $1,000 a year each. I believe we can earn about what Americans currently pay in credit card interest, while saving them or helping them earn multiples of it. These people were never short of someone willing to tell them something. They were short of anyone on their side. SuperMoney is.

1/ What's the interest rate on your car loan? Most people don't know. The dealership that sold it to you likes it that way. Here's why that matters right now. 🧵

6/ This one is the most common and the cheapest to fix. For a lot of borrowers it's worth about $100 a month. Most people who qualify have no idea they do.

The average new US home peaked at 2,500 sq ft in 2015. Today it’s 2,300. Buyers didn’t stop wanting space. Builders ran out of room under the monthly payment. The house shrank so the payment wouldn’t.

Housing market panic? Not according to the data. Mortgage delinquencies are near 20 year lows right now, nowhere close to 2008, nowhere close to 2020. Save this the next time someone tells you a housing crash is coming. #housingcrisis

🟢 Calm: knows both — where they stand, and where they're going 🟡 Stressed: knows their net worth to the cent, but the target is "more." And "more" keeps drifting 🔴 Drowning: doesn't know where they stand

Defining "enough" doesn't mean aiming lower. One person's enough is a $10M portfolio. Another's is no debt and plenty of time with family. Both are calm, because both have clarity.
