Lowball rates and lawsuits against residents who just say no. That is not a fair process, it is coercion. These families deserve real compensation for their land and crops. TotalEnergies should be ashamed.
It's disingenuous. They're using a global environmental platform to feign concern for coastal communities while allowing the controversial #EACOP to destroy the same livelihoods and environment they pretend to care for. #StopEACOP!
Why host a conference on protecting the Western Indian Ocean and then back an oil terminal in the same waters? I keep asking this about coastal livelihoods. Protection in practice, not just declarations #EACOP
