How many more Black lives will be lost at the hands of police? This is why we need police reform.
Why is the police chief making a conclusion after he refuses to discuss details? We need police reform. A mistake???? How does this happen?? We need police reform.
Black police- white victim-justice was swift and stiff. Another unintentional police shooting last night - White police and Black victim. What will justice serve this time? A police chief who had made a conclusion without discussing any facts? Will the police officer apologize?
Today, Marvin Gaye would have been 82 years old. Who among us has not enjoyed at least one of his songs? Happy Heavenly Birthday, Marvin.
Yesterday was April Fools but it feels like every day is now an April Fool’s Day. Nothing is funny when you are fooled about gun control, protection of voter’s rights and whether George Floyd’s behavior had anything to do with his death.
Now do you see the reality between Black people and the police where there is fear and a collective need to record encounters? It was George Floyd’s fault they had to kill him — blaming the victim. That is abuse.
Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, a day of love. Sadly I don’t believe there is enough love for this nation among some Senators, to convict the former President. A failure to defend democracy of this republic opens the door to further insurrections. The Universe is Watching Us.
It is time for the leaders of this country to invoke the 25th Amendment. Isn’t it obvious? Today has made me sad with disbelief with what is happening in my country, a country that has inspired my songs of hope and love.
I am heartbroken and astounded that this narcissistic and dangerous president would put lives in danger and encourage violent sedition against our government. That man is no longer able to serve as President because he can't accept defeat. Can we afford 2 more weeks? I say NO!
