We are proud to be returning as Diamond Sponsor for FluxCon North America 2026, the co-located event dedicated to @fluxcd! The schedule features a great lineup of speakers from Morgan Stanley, Ericsson and our very own Stefan Prodan. 📅 Monday, 9 November, from 09:00 📍Salt Lake City, Utah The FluxCon North America 2025 was the inaugural event, and the team were blown away by the incredible community response and engagement, so we’re looking forward to returning and seeing you there. Drop us a message if you’d like to set a time to catch up, or we’ll also be available on our stand. Registration is still open for @KubeCon_ + CloudNativeCon North America. In-person attendees can register for an All-Access pass that includes entry to all @CloudNativeFdn hosted co-located events, including FluxCon.

Thanks to Dan for sharing the flux9s CLI with the community! It's always lovely to see how people extend and interface with Flux. Sometimes, you just wanna stay in tmux and use some good keyboard shortcuts. We have this up on the Flux blog now!

i'm teaming up with @szkdash for working on packslip! he is the author of aqua-registry which mise has relied on for years for almost all of its tools—and it's been an incredible resource. if you're a vendor for a mise tool give packslip a look: it gives you more direct control over how mise (and future tools) integrate, and also lets you ship agent skills and shell completions tied to the version! also thanks to @YxxHero, @yohamta, @max_sixty, and @stefanprodan for being some of the first adopters of this new standard! packslip.dev

I've been experimenting with local AI (oMLX) on a Mac Studio (M2 Max 96GB) for agentic GitOps. My test bench covers repo analysis and live cluster operations through the Flux MCP server. After benchmarking a range of models for a couple of days, I chose Apodex-1.1-mini. I quantized it with Lightning MTP speculative decoding enabled, which made it noticeably faster on my homelab. I also had to patch the Qwen3-Coder tool-call parser in both oMLX and Apple's mlx-lm library (PRs inflight). Humbling experience, though. After Fable and GPT-Sol, the local models felt excruciatingly slow. Some great things came out of this experiment. The #FluxCD MCP we just released ships with major optimizations and new tools for diffing repo changes against live clusters. By next year, I expect the coming wave of lightweight OSS models to shine at agentic GitOps, from manifest generation to handling promotion pipelines across a cluster fleet. If you want to try Apodex on oMLX, my quant is on Hugging Face: huggingface.co/stefanprodan/…

I don't think development is solved. The main activity in development is having a clue about what to maintain and why it's important, and dealing with operational aspects. Writing a first prototype is solved. No doubt about that.

In our interactive @fluxcd 2.9 tutorial on @iximiuz Labs, you don't just learn how to deploy, you learn how to fix things when they break: Catch Errors Early: Use flux schema validate to prevent broken manifests from reaching the cluster Inspect Live Cluster State: Leverage the Flux Operator Web UI to pinpoint stuck resources in real time New Plugin System: Accelerate your workflow with Operator directly available in the CLI labs.iximiuz.com/tutorials/f…

we've built Flux Mirror :) take ownership of all of your images, charts, and other OCI artifacts for your Kubernetes clusters! supply chain attacks are getting worse as well. check out our blog which talks about how to implement a import diode using min artifact age

GitHub has been rough lately, but let’s also remember that y’all have stored your public repos there for nearly 20 years, ran your CICD there for a decade, and have never had to pay a penny. You’re welcome to use something else.

We are estimating to be able to deliver 20-30x more capacity to agentic workloads. We are building it to work with any sandbox runtime (e.g. microVMs, gVisor, etc), and can also natively run it on existing Kubernetes clusters.

Check out the new Ignore Rules in Flux :) They let you initialize values but perform selective drift correction. It's now possible to pick the starting replicas when using HPA's instead of relying on the minimum, and cert-manager can now regenerate your placeholder certs

Back on Timoni after a long pause, and I’m reminded of how expressive and powerful CUE lang is. This weekend I’m implementing custom health checks for CRDs. Flux has a similar feature using CEL, but with Timoni I’m taking a different approach: readiness is defined by module authors, not by the users deploying the apps. The people who maintain and distribute an app are the ones who know what “ready” means, so this logic belongs embedded in the app module. You can do this today with Helm post-upgrade hooks by spinning up Kubernetes Jobs. With Timoni, custom health checks won’t cost you compute. CUE is evolving at a steady pace. It finally has an official LSP, and long-awaited features are close to stable: try clauses, optional references, if-else expressions, and short-circuit evaluation. I'm considering promoting Timoni's API to beta once these land. I was surprised to discover that the latest Claude and GPT models write flawless CUE. With web search disabled, Fable proved to have solid knowledge of Timoni’s modules, bundles and runtime vars 🤯 I’m quite excited for a future where Agentic #GitOps is no longer about generating mountains of YAML stored in Git or elsewhere. I have so many ideas on how to make this happen! More to come 😉 github.com/stefanprodan/timo…

The first autonomous agent cyberattack is an unprecedented event that deserves unprecedented transparency. Today we’re sharing everything we can: a full technical timeline, an interactive replay, and how we used an open model to defend ourselves, so defenders everywhere can learn from it and prepare for what’s next. huggingface.co/blog/agent-in…
