Are we seriously retarded?

Can you please help.
A monk was lost while trying to travel to his ancestral homelands for a pilgrimage.
Contraception is responsible for the death of romance. True romance requires complete commitment, i.e. marriage, and finds its completion in procreation, the offspring being the fruit of the spouses’ love. By inhibiting procreation, contraception renders romance unfruitful.

"I have endeavored as a woman to present the picture of a woman who was loved and hated, praised or criticized, who has been called traitress, martyr, and even saint, but who has never sunk into oblivion." -Dorothy Moulton Mayer, 'Marie Antoinette: the Tragic Queen'

La famille royale ne méritait pas d'être exécutée, Dieu ai pitié de ses martyrs
233 years ago today, Marie Antoinette was guillotined.

From the narrative of Rosalie, after asking Marie Antoinette, who had not eaten much for days, if she would like anything on the morning of her execution:
"The Queen was weeping bitterly. She answered: 'I shall never need anything again, my girl, everything is over for me.'"

16 octobre 1793, Saint-Denis.

What were Marie Antoinette's last words? Most accounts simply tell you that her last words, after accidentally stepping on the executioner's foot, were "I'm sorry, monsieur, I did not do it on purpose." But were these her actual last words? Let's look at the source...

Sensitive young men once ruled the world
I disagree. The early 1800s is called the Romantic Era for a reason
No one today understands the intensity of their emotions, their quickness to violence, or the sensitivity of their spirits
Napoleon's favorite book was The Sorrows of Young Werther. As soon as he conquered Germany, Napoleon insisted on meeting its author Goethe
The greatest statesmen of the era like Bismarck and Cavour frequently cried in public, threw tantrums, and threatened suicide if they they didn't get their way. Napoleon III fought and his brother died for their romantic dream of Italian liberation. As Emperor Napoleon III sent France to war for it
All of the literature from this time is not only about the turmoil of men's inner lives but how, unlike today, it irresistibly drove them to action
Anyone who today behaves like the romantics did has already been institutionalized. The lucky ones got called cringe and ignored

I think the interesting thing is that the 1800’s were full of men who could easily be of our time. They’re removed only by airplanes and satellites, but are the same dudes.
