Review: Ramayana
Very good & definitely a theatre experience. It has its flaws but, it's a very positive step in Indian cinema evolution.
The CGI is obviously excellent. Pretty much the best in Indian cinema till date. But, I loved the BGM too. Zimmer delivered. It was classy symphony in comparison to the loud noise we usually get.
Yash was the show stealer. I was expecting Ranbir to outshine but, it didn't happen. Ranbir took time to settle but, I'm sure he'll be phenomenal in the next part. Ravi was good too. However, Sai Pallavi was a misfit.
The songs were meh. We need more Zimmer less Rahman in the next part.
The screenplay, editing & direction were very neat but did go off in a few sequences.
What if definitely lacked is the emotional core. Could've done better there.
And yeah. Definitely better than The Odyssey. Now Ramayana done, eagerly waiting for Godzilla Minus Zero.

Ravana casually breaking and throwing Sita Mata’s jewellery himself, apparently to leave clues for Lord Rama to follow!But in Valmiki Ramayana, it was Sita Mata who dropped her ornaments while being abducted, hoping Rama would find them and trace her.🤷 why rewrite what Valmiki had already written so beautifully? When cinematic creativity starts rewriting the original Ramayana, is it artistic freedom or unnecessary distortion?

Some spell was used on her before abduction. Do you guys really watch a movie or just go to movies to find faults. What a cheap and sadist mindset.
Sita was portrayed as a warrior in the #Ramayana but when Ravana and Jatayu were fighting, she was shown standing silently and watching poor Jatayu get killed. If you're establishing Sita as a warrior, shouldn't that strength reflect in such crucial moments too? A serious missed opportunity. Very weak character detailing by Nitesh Tiwari.
