Such a great turnout at this year’s #TasteofSoul Family Festival! #TeamSoCalGas was out in full force providing the #community with information on customer assistance programs, available #rebates, and safety tips. Thanks to everyone who visited our booth this year!
Recovery happens one step at a time. 💙
Earlier this summer, #TeamSoCalGas volunteers helped clear a Malibu property damaged by the Palisades Fire. Weeks later, employees joined Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (@HabitatLA) to build prefabricated walls for future Habitat homes, including the future home of the same Malibu homeowner they helped earlier this summer.
It’s a meaningful reminder that rebuilding takes time, and many hands working together.

Preparing for severe weather starts well before the rain.
SoCalGas teams recently came together for an El Niño tabletop exercise, working through potential scenarios involving heavy rain, flooding, erosion, access challenges and impacts to critical infrastructure.
The exercise is one part of our year-round preparedness efforts, helping teams test plans, strengthen coordination and identify potential challenges before severe weather occurs. It’s all part of preparing our operations, equipment and personnel to help maintain the safety and reliability of our natural gas system and support the customers and communities we serve.
Despite great progress, nearly 60% of accidental strikes to underground utility lines in 2025 happened because 811 was not contacted before digging started. 🛑
This highlights one of the most preventable causes of damage to buried pipelines. Always make the free call to 811 before you pick up a shovel.

Helping innovation reach the market. Through our SoCalGas Research Development & Demonstration (RD&D) department, we supported the development of an advanced inverter component for @BandgapTech mobile fuel cell generator technology.
The project helped advance a portable backup power solution designed for applications such as construction sites, events, emergency response and other commercial and industrial uses. Today, the technology is eligible for a California incentive program that helps qualifying customers access zero-emission backup power solutions.
The project demonstrates how research, development and demonstration helps move promising technologies from concept to commercialization.
