The presentation today went really well, but ultimately, the presentation rightly belonged to Charlotte.
We had so many people tell us that it was one of the most moving video compilations they had ever seen.
Charlotte started documenting her journey in 2014, long before sharing experiences in this way became as common as it is today. Her videos give people a real insight into what life was like for her living with a brain tumour. They allow people to hear her voice, see her personality and understand something of what she went through.
People were incredibly complimentary about the amount of money we have raised, particularly as there are only two of us running the charity, and we both have full-time jobs too.
We also made quite a few valuable connections today, which can only benefit Charlotte’s BAG and help us move forward.
Our aim is to raise £500,000 by Christmas 2027. Many people today felt that we could achieve this target quite easily, particularly because of our unique approach to self-funding.
We don't sell merchandise or have the overheads associated with many charities. We want as much of the money raised as possible to go directly into brain tumour research.
Days like today remind me why we do what we do. Charlotte's story continues to open doors, raise awareness and bring people together.
We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved so far, but there is still so much more to do.
£500,000 by Christmas 2027. Let's make it happen.

I have some bad news/good news.
🙁 Bad news: QUEEN OF FOXES has been pushed back to Dec. 1. The special edition hardcover, ebook, and audiobook will all be released on Dec. 1 now.
☺️ Good news: It's only a three-week delay and the book will still be out before Christmas.

Happy Thursday! This young Great Crested Grebe, currently at my local park, looks very different to how they will look as an adult. They are affectionately known as humbugs when they are young, as they look like the British sweet of the same name 🤍
