payments.org is a great way to learn more about the use cases that are driving growth in stablecoin based payments on Solana. While you are there, touch and feel the blockchain by sending a real payment trxn - with the same ease as sending an email.
We just launched payments.org and @solanapayments

When we started @Bastion, we believed stablecoins would become core financial infrastructure. But for the world’s largest enterprises and financial institutions to adopt them, that infrastructure would need to meet the regulatory standards they already expect from their banks.
That meant building compliance, controls and governance into Bastion from the beginning, not adding them after the fact or waiting for others to pave the way.
Today, the OCC granted Bastion preliminary conditional approval for a national trust bank charter, placing us among a small group of companies to reach this stage with the OCC.
That matters because the bar should be high. Stablecoins are becoming part of the financial system, and the infrastructure powering them needs to be built for the regulatory and operational standards that come with that.
Stablecoins are moving into the financial mainstream, but institutional adoption depends on infrastructure that can meet an institutional standard.
We made the decision early to build Bastion for that standard. Today is an important validation of that decision, and we’re just getting started.

This is real decentralization
Last night an infrastructure provider used by some Solana validators had a failure. You probably didn't notice, because the network didn't: blocks kept producing and transactions kept landing.
The facts:
- The Solana network remained operational
- 597 of 699 staked validators kept voting, roughly 6 out of 7
- Affected validators recovered within 40 minutes
- Validators in the Solana Foundation Delegation Program (SFDP) were unaffected
Because Solana validators are distributed across independent infrastructure providers, the failure of a single provider did not interrupt the network. This is decentralization and infrastructure diversity working as intended, and a proof point for Solana’s resiliency though periods of stress.

If you work in payments, compliance, or policy, we need your input.
We published a draft definition of what counts as an onchain payment. The goal: safe, frictionless, compliant transactions across every network.
Is this the right starting point? Read it and weigh in. This becomes a standard only if the right voices shape it. → open.substack.com/pub/blockc…
Amazing news, and just helping to further compound the network effects. There is a thriving financial economy on Solana.

Over a decade ago at Uber, we were paying drivers across 40 countries. Their top ask: "Pay me faster." That stuck with me through Coinbase and Stripe, where I kept running into the same wall from different angles.
Today, Latitude (@rtp) is launching out of stealth. We raised an $8M seed round in Jan 2025 and have been building quietly since then.
we’ve helped hundreds of teams onboard onto Solana, and sometimes the hardest part is just getting started
SDP is a stab at what enterprises need 1st: addresses,
balances, txn history, and transfers
then they graduate into an ecosystem of inst’l-grade service providers!
Introducing Solana Developer Platform
Designed for enterprise, launch financial products on @Solana in weeks instead of months.
Create stablecoins, RWAs, or orchestrate payments with AI-ready APIs that bundle 20+ infra providers.
@Mastercard, @WesternUnion, and @Worldpay are already building with SDP.
Solana now supports the Machine Payments Protocol @mpp by @stripe and @tempo.
If you're building an API that needs to accept payments, @solana/mpp SDK handles any stablecoin on Solana (Spl, Token2022).
If you’re already building with MPP, Solana is now a supported payment rail.
Solana is built for agentic payments.
Stablecoins and tokenization are driving the future of finance, and it's happening on Solana.
With our friends @Mastercard, @WesternUnion, and @Worldpay_Global, and 20+ infra providers, we're debuting SDP, a tokenization & payments orchestration platform to launch stablecoins, RWAs, and any permissioned asset on Solana.
You can now launch breakthrough digital finance products in weeks instead of months or years.
SDP is AI and API-first: point Codex or Claude Code at SDP and it will know what to do.
We'll be demoing this on stage today at Solana Accelerate Fintech with our lead product manager @catgu_ and @GuiBibeau, and I'll be at @blockworksDAS tomorrow as well to share more.
This has been a labor of love and we're delighted to debut this powerful new sandbox today.

As someone building a platform for real businesses to move their entire financial operations onto stablecoin rails - I can confirm that Solana is the right foundation to build a financial services company.
Things that matter:
- performance, speed and cost (many chains promise this but few survive the stress tests to prove it)
- robust data infrastructure (while ledgering is built in, you still have to index the chain)
- decentralization (this is how you remove foundational "vendor risk")
- programmable accounts (security, policies, automations all paramount to match and surpass trad fintech UX)
- rich DeFi ecosystem (yield, trading, FX).
But the strongest signal is consistent delivery on promises, for years by all the teams contributing to making the chain better. That's the hardest thing to fake when choosing infrastructure to build on.
Strongly recommend.
