Our voice assistants handle more tasks over voice and we’re adding functionality every day. A few things our team handed off this week completely over voice: · Managed Claude Code and Devin sessions from a walk, no laptop · Found a spot for a team dinner of 15 in NYC, booked it, and texted back the confirmation · Bought a few books we'd been putting off ordering · Planned a 3-day trip and sent it over as a webpage

Join @stammy, @natemitchell, and @darkmirage—leaders from our design, product, and engineering teams—for a live Reddit AMA on all things Sesame Link, GA, our voice assistants, and what comes next. Opening at 10AM PST 10/8 on Reddit reddit.com/r/MadeBySesame/
I've been exploring using voice for steering coding sessions on my commutes at @sesame and I really like it. Working with Opus/Sonnet 5.5 is at the point where I often find it useful to multitask over voice even while I'm at my desk. Try it at link.sesame.com

Our first priority is getting the hardware right. The glasses have to fall into the category of “beautiful eyewear”, not “consumer electronics product”. I’ve been wearing Sesame frames for months now, and I have not had a single person wonder whether they are anything other than regular eyewear. Yesterday, we shared that our glasses will be Made in Japan, reflecting our commitment to achieving a level of craft suitable for the category. ses-a.me/qn77nna2

The new Sesame voice model is more expressive, intelligent and capable. It has its own full computer to do all sorts of research and complex tasks. It's hard to describe. You can use it as a live thought partner to riff and learn new things, iterate on documents together, even manage coding agents. It feels like a new species. Try it in the October update of the Sesame app. sesame.com

We've been using Maya, Miles, Charlie, and Simone to develop this release, helping orchestrate other agents like Devin, Claude Code, and Codex. We do this over voice on walks, commuting, and often at our desk with Link. Try the beta now: ses-a.me/u2d1pwaz

I'm excited to share some of what i've been working on at Sesame! turnbench.sesame.com is our turn-taking benchmark for real-time conversation: when to speak and when to yield

To craft for conversation, timing is everything. Natural conversation is a social dance, and timing matters just as much as tone and delivery. Most voice AI doesn't do this well yet. So we built TurnBench: an open benchmark that measures whether voice AI knows when your turn is really over, and when an "mm-hmm" is agreement, not an interruption. Learn more about how we built this on our blog. sesame.com/blog/turnbench
