Helium. Iran war. Supply chain. Semiconductor manufacturing. Energy technology. Certain medical devices. It is about more than oil and its derivatives.

In academia, if you get a PhD but can't make a living, you can always teach new students knowledge they won't make a living with either. Parts of the AI economy are undeniably valuable, but there's a lot of multi-level marketing going on too.
Heard from a neolab friend: “Even if we fail to train the best model, we locked in GPU capacity early. H100/B200/B300 rental prices have since gone up 2–3x. We can just resell the compute and print money.” OK, so that’s the business model.

Builders are sitting on 113,000 finished homes with no buyer. In Feb 2022 it was 31,000. Levels we haven't seen since 2009. That's not a housing shortage. That's inventory.

Interesting news for #Georgia and the #automotive industry
BREAKING: Audi has announced a $4B+ investment to build its first American automotive manufacturing plant in Georgia, creating approximately 4,500 jobs. The facility is expected to reach an annual production capacity of 200,000 SUVs, with full production targeted for 2031. The announcement comes just days after Audi unveiled a humanoid robotics initiative with Agile Robots, NVIDIA, and Dassault Systèmes to automate automotive parts handling and sequencing.

Interesting perspective on how we’ve lost the “Death” in Death Valley. #Clemson
Clemson is now 2-8 in last 10 games in Death Valley vs. Power 4 programs. There is no historical precedence in the last 50 years for similar futility at home. For perspective during previous terrible stretches: Between '92-'95 there was a stretch we went 5-5 at home vs. Power 4. Between '97-'99 there was a stretch we went 4-6 at home vs. Power 4. In both of those time frames, head coaches were fired (Ken Hatfield and Tommy West)

College GameDay use to mean something. It had two former college football players (one of them won the Heisman Trophy), a host and a former coach. The one thing they didn’t have was a clown. You want GameDay to get better? Get rid of the clown.
Pat McAfee: "New York Times always saying it! 'This a**hole is shirtless at 9:02 a.m. Eastern!' Sorry, Coach. I'm ruining the whole sport; I'm ruining the whole sport because of this."

It wasn’t even close to being a swing, but so glad we have an ump 100 feet down the base line telling us it’s a swing and the call is not challenge-able.
Do you think Yandy Díaz checked his swing here?

US military cargo has rolled straight from a truck bed into the same airplane for 70 years. The C-130's high wing sets the floor at truck-bed height and a ramp drops from the tail. Lockheed has built it on one line in Marietta, Georgia, since it first flew there in 1955. Engines and propellers changed while the airframe kept its shape. Marietta builds 20 variants for 27 countries.

And to be fair to both of those other eras, there was no quick fix. You had to recruit and wait a few years to see improvement. During this current span, we CHOSE to be who we are on offense. We could have gone to portal to get QB's and OL's and we CHOSE not to. You can lose football games, everyone does. But you can't go 2-8 at home. Especially when you had a CHOICE to make changes to your personnel and did not.

Calling play action on 4th & 9 with 53 seconds on the clock is pure schematic malpractice. 🤦‍♂️ Turning back to fake the run burned crucial timing AND forced the O-line into the wrong slide direction—leaving a unblocked rusher straight down the pipe. Frankly, this is IGNORANT. #Clemson #GoTigers #Hokies #All22 Full All-22 breakdown will be up in the coming days. Link 👇

Fletcher Cothran should never be on the field at CLEMSON UNIVERSITY in a critical situation. Roster management malpractice at the highest degree. I don’t care about losing Ferrelli to ole Miss, then go get somebody else & fill that hole. Inexcusable. @GrahamNeff

I don’t think so. They probably should. But they won’t.
If Clemson loses this game….people will be fired tonight.

It’s not just coaching. That’s like talking about the 1980s cfb landscape. Roster management is a big part of coaching in 2026. And THAT is where Dabo has failed miserably. And inarguably. While being paid as one of the top 5 coaches in the land. And he’s not in this new era. Hate to say it, but it is what it is.
Postgame thoughts from Clemson coach Dabo Swinney after tonight’s Virginia Tech loss: Highlights “critical” missed opportunities on offense and says they were nowhere good enough on that side of the ball. Says coaches didn’t do enough to help either

Dabo made $950k per each of those games. And every game. It was all good…before the game changed…and Dabo refused to.
Clemson is 2-8 in their last 10 home games against Power 4 teams. Yikes dude.
