We need to shift our priorities FROM POWER AND PROFIT TOWARD PEOPLE AND PLANET.
The real measure of progress is the quality of life of every Indian.

India needs decentralization of power and opportunity. Development should empower people rather than concentrate decisions and opportunities in a few hands.

When Young India Connected India: Role of Youth in making C-DOT a Success xitter.cf/i/broadcasts/1vKpPNRYe…
Sam Pitroda retweeted
I’m excited to host the first edition of Generation Next: The Youth Dialogue, a platform to bring forward the voices, ideas and aspirations of young India.
For our opening conversation, we will revisit the remarkable story of C-DOT and the role young engineers played in shaping India’s telecom revolution.
I’m privileged to be joined by Sam Pitroda, who headed C-DOT and played a defining role in building India’s indigenous telecom capabilities. C-DOT was established in 1984 with a mission to develop telecommunications technology suited to India’s needs, with a strong emphasis on young Indian technical talent.
At a time when many members of the team were in their twenties, they were trusted with responsibility, encouraged to innovate, and given an opportunity to solve a problem of national importance.
This conversation will not only look back at that journey, but also ask a question that is just as relevant today:
What can young India build next?

India’s future lies in our young people—and in dignity, equality, justice, education, science, opportunity and humanity.
We need stronger institutions, a healthier democracy and a national conversation focused on the issues that truly affect people’s lives.
I discuss these issues, Rahul Gandhi’s role, the economy, education and the future of India in this conversation. youtu.be/hPl2S-PPn1U?is=NaUk…
Very happy and prosperous 42 nd anniversary to pioneers, past and present people at @CDOT_India . Lots of Love. @sampitroda
Remembering Shri Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary.
Rajiv believed deeply in the power of young minds, technology and innovation to transform India. I had the privilege of working alongside him and sharing in his dream of building a modern, connected and forward-looking nation.
His vision was ahead of its time. His faith in India’s future was unwavering.
I remember him today with great affection, admiration and gratitude.

7/7: The images from Ranchi disturb me deeply.
Whatever the disagreements, the answer to the frustration of our young people cannot be lathis, tear gas and water cannons.
Students are not the enemy. They are India's future.
I stand in solidarity with the youth of Jharkhand.
