Great to join @Sflecce at the @wowcinc conference in Guelph, speaking with municipal leaders about challenges and opportunities to attract investment, slash red tape, and move quicker to build a self-reliant Ontario.

Niagara farmers are some of the best! Really good to catch up with and speak with Niagara North Federation of Agriculture members at their AGM in Vineland, about our work to build out a sovereign, secure, and self-reliant agrifood economy!

We’re helping more Ontario workers gain the skills they need for good-paying, in-demand jobs! Through our $2.5 billion investment in skills training, we’ve supported over 1,000 projects helping more than 700,000 workers prepare for new career opportunities. By investing in Ontario workers, we’re strengthening our workforce, supporting businesses and building a more competitive, self-reliant economy.

Ontario’s ports are opening new agricultural markets 🚢 @LisaThompsonPC and I were at the Port of Goderich today to discuss their plans for expansion and how their positioning on Lake Huron can help connect Ontario agribusinesses to new markets - both domestically and globally. Handling over 5 million tonnes of cargo annually and supporting thousands of good jobs, the port plays an important role in growing Ontario’s economy, diversifying trade options, and strengthening our self-reliance.

In beautiful Huron County this morning alongside @LisaThompsonPC and @huronchamber. We are working together to power the growth of Ontario’s agri-food sector - securing our supply chains, expanding into new export markets, and building a self-reliant Ontario.

Bringing homegrown potatoes to tables across Ontario 🥔 At @EarthFreshFarms in Burlington this morning, I saw the innovation of Ontario’s potato producers - using upgraded technologies and software to get organic, nutritious, and tasty produce to the people of Ontario while strengthening our supply chains.

More developments for the new Grimsby GO Station! 🚆 Major construction is now officially underway with the construction contract awarded, and service expected to begin next summer. With the leadership of @FordNation and @PrabSarkaria, we’re making record investments in public transit to connect communities, reduce gridlock and keep Ontario moving.

Our government is investing a historic $31 billion to build and expand highways and roads across Ontario 🛣️ Right here in Niagara, we’re twinning the Garden City Skyway and adding an additional lane to the QEW.
