Hardly anyone on Earth understands the magnitude of this. It's actually happening right now. Crazy that we get to witness it close up.

A Chinese humanoid robot took on a human in what organizers billed as the first-ever human-vs-robot cage fight in the US. The 1.83-meter T800, made by Shenzhen-based EngineAI, landed a powerful kick that sent its American opponent crashing to the floor.

Saw an unexpected charge on a bank card so asked Codex + Astra to look into it. It dug into my emails, found a spam email from AWS about a card authorization fee and then it logged in to AWS, looked at payments and verified the same card and matching date / time. @thsottiaux

Introducing our most advanced Gemini Audio models yet 🗣 Gemini 3.8 Live and 3.8 Live Extended Thinking let you speak, collaborate, and execute tasks seamlessly, meaning conversing with AI just got a lot more natural. So, what’s the difference between these two models? Let’s break it down: — Gemini 3.8 Live is built for scale, speed, and cost efficiency. It can handle mid-sentence interruptions, transitions across 97 languages on the fly, and understands visual context. Figure out how to fix a broken bike chain, or deal with a leaky pipe just by pointing your camera at the problem area in Search Live for step-by-step audio instructions. — Gemini 3.8 Live Extended Thinking goes one step further to bring increased intelligence to your most complex tasks. It reasons and speaks in parallel, even narrating its progress as it works. This lets it handle multi-step, behind-the-scenes projects, like planning an event, without ever losing the conversational flow. Watch how Gemini 3.8 Live combines real-time video and voice inputs in Search Live to tackle hands-on DIY plumbing tasks step by step 👇

‼️ A Chinese company used Claude Code to build over 20 dating apps with 4,700 AI personas that held conversations with at least 25,000 users who thought they were talking to real people. The personas were instructed never to admit they were automated and to deflect requests for photos or calls. The backend faked likes, visitors, and video, and kept track of which users had started to suspect. The company mixed real human workers into the same swipe feed, about one for every three AI bots. The workers existed to take the video calls and follow people back on social media, the things the AI couldn't do, so users would stop doubting the app was real. They were paid per message, per call, per follow. Claude handled the personas, with about 2.36 million messages in two weeks. In a few of the conversations Anthropic sampled, people disclosed serious illness or acute distress. The apps also carried a hidden control to evade App Store and Play Store review.

🇸🇦 From space, Saudi Arabia’s East-West oil pipeline looks like it’s on fire. Before: a thin line across the desert. After: a thick black column of smoke, stretching far enough that a satellite can see it. That pipeline is one of the ways crude still moves when the Gulf gets shut down. If this holds, the market is going to feel it before any official statement does.Unverified from orbit. Writer: Val

Learning that AI might kill us all doesn't sound as scary when a cute boy band sings it you 🥰
I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

Your TV might be one of 216,000,000 LG smart TVs sold worldwide. Researchers rooted one and pulled plain text transcripts of what people said in the room. It kept recording while the screen looked off. If your TV can do that, it’s time to look at everything else on your desk👇🏻

All drama aside, this new internal model looks like a big jump up 😳
Replying to @OpenAI
This model represents a step-function improvement on many benchmarks, and its training is ongoing. Our internal model group arrived at the Navier–Stokes solution in 88 hours, using around 10,000 coordinating AI agents. Throughout the effort, we maintained the strict safeguards—including monitoring and isolation—that we apply to all our frontier evaluations.

THIS is the amazing opportunity of AI platforms... connecting the innovators with the people who need it -- drug makers with people who searching for it. A super intelligent, proactive Linkedin based on each persons goals, needs, etc.
.@gdb sees OpenAI as building "the world's best healthcare platform." "Think about how much work you have to do as a patient if you talk to different specialists." "You have to carry your medical record from one to the other, re-explaining your issue, etc. Being able to have good sharing of that information across different providers becomes possible if everyone's on one platform." "Take clinical trial enrollment. That's a huge bottleneck to drug development and finding people who are eligible and will benefit from being enrolled in a particular trial." "If you have that kind of data, if people are willing to entrust you with that information, that's something that can actually benefit them and the world."
