Taming clankers to ship reliable systems. @EffectTS_-pilled. Building @BTCTreasuries

I really wish this myth would finally die. Svelte, Solid, Remix - so much good stuff out there, often the better option for you needs. And with AI it's really not hard to switch.
I think it's a mistake to think AI is "good at React" because it is trained mostly on React. If we're just going off of what the labs have trained the most on it might be time to go back to jQuery.

KYC is criminal Continual endangerment of innocent people who have done nothing wrong.
‼️ BREAKING: Revolut handed over customers’ passport copies, verification selfies and full transaction histories to a malicious actor. The actor sent lawful government information-demand emails using a genuine government domain that passed domain authentication. Revolut later concluded they were not authentic. Affected customers were notified on Friday. What may have been disclosed ranges from name, date of birth and home address to account statements, withdrawal records and complete Bitcoin transaction history. The company says it has alerted the agency to the unauthorised mailbox on its domain, blocked the address and begun notifying regulators. It has not named the agency, explained how someone obtained a mailbox there, or given a number of affected customers. ZachXBT, who circulated the notices, believes the incident was limited in size and aimed at high-net-worth users.

this might be the best AI agent skill ever i'm pretty sure we're gonna get more anti-slop skills like this, curated by experts of different tech stacks/frameworks etc i used it in a small repo and it flagged 202 errors already wtf was this example it fixed 💀💀

The board of directors panicked after reading an article in Forbes and hired a boutique cybersecurity firm. They paid $80K for a team of external auditors to stress-test our network architecture. A guy named Connor showed up to my office with a customized laptop covered in hacking stickers. He ran a preliminary port scan and immediately found 14 open vulnerabilities on our primary subnet. He barged in and demanded to know why our main firewall was running outdated firmware from 2014. I leaned back in my Herman Miller Aeron chair and smiled like a disappointed father. I told him he had successfully discovered the outer layer of my decentralized honeypot matrix. I explained that we intentionally leave legacy ports open to trap malicious actors in an infinite digital loop. I used the phrase "asymmetrical threat inversion protocol." He stopped typing on his mechanical keyboard and looked deeply confused. I told him that patching those obvious vulnerabilities would immediately signal to international syndicates that we were a high-value target. I said that by maintaining the illusion of baseline incompetence, we achieve absolute digital camouflage. I asked him if his boutique firm didn't understand the fundamental concept of psychological network warfare. He started aggressively backpedaling and nervously closing terminal windows on his screen. He said his scan was just a preliminary assessment and he didn't want to disrupt my advanced architecture. I generously offered to sign off on his security audit if he classified our vulnerabilities as strategic perimeter decoys. He rewrote his 40-page compliance report to praise our innovative approach to threat management. The CEO called me into his office the next day to personally thank me for outsmarting the hackers. I didn't tell him the firewall was unpatched because I forgot the admin password 6 years ago. I haven't logged into the security console since the Obama administration. I billed the company $400 for a catered lunch with Connor. I spent the afternoon watching a documentary about deep-sea fishing while the company felt safer than ever. True security is just aggressive confidence in the face of absolute negligence.

Re: Cold Card Hack Hello fellow Bitcoiners, It’s been nearly one week since my wallet was drained. I lost my entire bitcoin stack, presumably the most in the entire attack - an amount I’m more than embarrassed and ashamed to even admit publicly. This was not only my life savings but my time, energy, hardcore conviction and identity after 13 years in this space. I am posting pseudonymously as I’ve always preferred to stay out of the spotlight - and privacy (inspired by Satoshi) is something I value. I debated whether or not I should say anything at all, but after much deliberation I decided it may be beneficial for other victims who are struggling. While this incident certainly forced upon me the darkest days of my life so far - I have now accepted it and will slowly put together my life again. I came from nothing and did everything right (except rolling the damn dice apparently 😅). I stayed away from trading, exchanges, shitcoins, ICOs, NFTs, false prophets, etc and quietly and consistently built up over the years through all the ups and downs - never spending frivolously on material goods but instead using bitcoin as my sense of freedom and security - with the hopes to pass it on to my future children. Even though that peace, freedom and security is now gone - I am beyond grateful for the journey and life that bitcoin enabled me to have. To all the other victims, as cliche as it is to say “it’s only money” - true wealth, as I’ve learned over and over again is in health, family, and friendships. I’d be lying if I told you I’m not afraid of the uncertainty ahead, but I know by taking one step at a time it will be possible to rebuild. Trust me if I can come to these realizations, you can too! The hardest challenges in life make us stronger and turn us into the best versions of ourselves - don’t give in to the hopelessness. By being in this community you are apart of something special that the majority of the world still hasn’t realized yet. It’s still early! Thanks to all the wonderful people in the community I’ve been DMing over the past week - your kind words of support mean the world to me and helped me start to believe in myself again. To the hacker: you still can do the right thing here and come clean - you have prompted a serious wake-up call that has brought the community together which will bring more resilience for the future. Doing the noble thing now will prevent a lifelong hunt. To all the amazing bitcoiners who have jumped to action from the very beginning to support each other and mitigate further damage - it’s been a beautiful thing to watch. To the @blocks team and especially @intangiblecoins, your efforts are inspiring and provide me with hope. Believe me when I say that IF I ever get my coins back you will all be taken care of very well, along with massive donations to the open source community. For now I will withhold any judgement towards @nvk and the @Coinkite team - while I’m still processing this loss and dealing with the gravity of building my life up from the ruins - I have 0 anger or resentment. Bitcoin security is a tough job, mistakes are made, and lessons are learned by all. I made mistakes by trusting and not verifying as well as not having a more robust security solution so the responsibility must be shared, hindsight is 20/20 and even though it’s tough: I’m okay admitting that. Bitcoin humbles all. Having said all that… I’M NOT FUCKING LEAVING!!! I will start building a new stack from the ground up like all the other plebs as my conviction in Bitcoin is even stronger today then when I got my first coins in 2013. This was never about the money - it was always about the revolution, and that can’t be stopped. We will win. Let’s keep our heads high. The march continues. It’s time to rebuild. PS: Thanks for everything Satoshi ❤️ -M

If I have a preexisting relationship with you, and you're an engineer in bitcoin, and for some reason you are unable to access K3, hit me up. I'm loading up a personal credit card with credits right now, and creating a fan out of repos that need to be evaluated.

Ironically, all security issues I need to fix were created by GPT 5.6 itself. The same model that created the bugs, refuses to fix them because of cYbEr gUaRdRailS. This is a complete clown show.
I have a report full of security issues of a software I'm working on. Codex won't fix them because of Cyber guardrails Fable won't fix them because of Cyber guardrails Kimi K3 fixed them all. No restrictions, just gets the job done. This will end badly for OpenAI & Anthropic.

WTF @Substack you suspended substack.coinkite.com You have a bot subscription problem, we contacted your security team about 100K surge in subscribers all complaining to us. Then instead of fixing your system you without notice or reply suspend our company newsletter.

there's a new word i'm hearing a lot in the most frontier-pushingest coding-agent builders: _program design_ for even the best agentic coders trying to maintain code quality, we've all seen it - you come up with something to build - you research the codebase, riff with the agent, align on what the end state looks like - you (or the agent) breaks it down into tasks for individual agents / context windows - you rip the implementation - the code works or is close to working - and it follows your spec to the letter but the code itself is still trash - poorly factored methods - leaky abstractions - tramp data - overloaded interfaces - try catch, useEffect, global variables everywhere I thought models would catch up, or that this wouldn't matter - that if we stayed in spec-land, understood the high-level architecture, and tokenmaxxed hard enough, we would be able to skip code review and just stay shipping doesn't seem to be working out that way I have seen agent-owned codebases spin up out of nothing... ...and I have seen them collapse into rubble within 6 months now there's something to be said about "skate where the puck is going"... ...and I can't tell you what tomorrows models will be capable of but I *can* tell you that *today*, models are mid-to-bad at program design you can solve some of this with memory / agents.md, but the scope of program design is massive. - entire companies have been built to help you implement it - books, classes, and professions have spun up around it are you building something to last? Or are you slinging more slop on the pile? anyways, thats the post, stay tuned for a fun announce tomorrow y'all 🙂

just enabled a minimum age on npm package installs for my machine, should've done this sooner but if you haven't either here's a prompt for your coding agent to configure it for you: ""Find my package manager (bun/pnpm/npm/yarn) and configure a 3-day minimum-release-age / cooldown for installs to blunt supply-chain attacks. Exempt my workspace scopes. Verify the exact config key in current docs before writing."
