DYK: Juan Marichal’s 191 wins in the 1960s were more than any other pitcher in the decade. In 1970, “The Dominican Dandy” picked up his 200th career win, the first pitcher from the DR to reach the milestone, and finished with 243 victories over his 16-year career.
In 1983, the 10-time All-Star became the first Dominican-born player elected to the Hall of Fame.
