Another (alleged) killer mom was just indicted by the grand jury.
And she will NOT face the death penalty.
Janette MacAusland, 49, an acupuncturist from Mass., is charged with killing Ella, 6, and Kai, 7, and then driving to Vermont.
The medical examiner's newly released report said they died from mechanical asphyxia combined with zolpidem, lorazepam, acetaminophen and ibuprofen.
MacAusland was in a bitter divorce and her husband was seeking full custody of the children and the house.
Police say she showed up at her aunt's home in Bennington, Vt., with a gash on her throat and said she killed them.
She allegedly told them she strangled the kids and hoped they could all "go to God together."
In yet another odd coincidence, she was unsuccessful in killing herself. Funny how that always seems to happen.
On Monday she was indicted on 2 counts of 1st degree murder and is being held without bail.
Next court date is Nov. 3. She faces life without parole.
And that's not punishment enough.
