As I said on multiple @ThunderCast_Pod episodes, it is better to wear a white shirt that isn’t a Marshall shirt than a Marshall shirt of various colors if you are sitting in a white shirt section. Don’t be that guy/gal! Make sure to wear the appropriate color for where you sit.

I mentioned on a @ThunderCast_Pod episode recently that it would be interesting to see how many punts Cooper Heimbach had that had opportunity for Inside the 20. Setting the bar at our own 35, which is 45 yards from the 20: 6 opps for I20 = 5 I20 and 1 TB 9 other punts = 2 I20

There will be no “Getting to Know: Gardner-Webb” episode for @ThunderCast_Pod this week. I made multiple attempts to set something up with them but it just didn’t work out. Without a podcast/media type from the opposing school, the episode doesn’t work.

CDRW caught a pass last year but it went for negative yardage.

If that is roughing the passer, what in the hell should you do as a defender in that situation?

During the Position Group Breakdown Series this summer, @SonOfMarshall and I discussed the potential of having Khalil Wilkins and CDRW on the field at the same time, and even Koi Fagan at RB. We just saw but a glimpse of what you can do with our QB roster.

I feel like the percentage of televised games preceding Marshall events that either go long or get tied up just prior to the start of the Marshall game is fairly high. It’s 2026; allow viewers to choose which game they want to watch.

Remember when we talked about it being a team’s job to prevent the other team running up a score and such? Well, I feel like advancing a blocked field goal with no time on the clock for a touchdown to win the game 54-10 might be a bit much. Blocking the kick is fine, but. . .

Update 2: Amazingly, you can call a number found with a Google search and speak to a live person (in 2026!) and have this easily resolved in three minutes. ESPN+ lopped off and HBO Max added.

Not a slam at Missouri State at all: Many fans, media covering the program, and official accounts have been promoting their expected attendance this Saturday. It’s b/c they have already sold a top 3 crowd of 🎟️ with possibility of more. Small to us; huge to them. Check the dates.
