ALT An extract of scene one, which reads: Scene One This is my gate, I always know its mine because it’s got one little tactile sticker underneath here. Here’s the front door, there’s a pull down handle and a Yale lock above. On my right is an umbrella stand and my cane goes straight in there. And then it’s like that feeling of when you take your bra Off at the end of the day just ahh…. because being out in the world can be exhausting but coming home and not feeling blind anymore is (sigh). I go through to the kitchen and stick the kettle on, then I know I’ve got a couple of minutes to fly upstairs grab my slippers and fly back down again. Not having to think about stairs. Up and down. Up and down. Everything has its place in my kitchen, so I get a tea bag from the box next to the kettle, and reach for a mug from the shelf above. Half a teaspoon of sugar from the bowl on the right and then I throw myself on the sofa and relax.

ALT An extract of scene two, which reads: Scene Two He's at it again. Coming in my face, closer and closer. Heavy breathing, the stink of cigarette smoke. Quiet. But he hasn’t gone. He’s still there. Waiting. Then, flying through the air, little shards of glass. My favourite blue venetian vase. Our breathing. In out, fast, slow. Panicked, in control Opposites. Breathing is life, but I have no life. He's sucked it out of me like a balloon, flat, stifled. All thoughts stamped out, no energy to run.
