🔄 Product Thought — Retesting Is Not Repetition
One lesson on different products has thought me!
When Engineering says, “The bug is fixed,” your job isn’t to celebrate yet. 😂
My next question is:
“Can we test it again?”
Because fixing the reported issue is only one part of the job.
We need to know:
Did the fix actually solve the original problem?
Did it create another problem somewhere else?
Does it work across devices?
Does the user journey still make sense?
Did we break an existing feature?
This is why retesting and regression testing matter so much.
Product Management isn’t just about deciding what gets built.
It is also about staying close enough to the product to understand whether what was built actually works for the user.

has made this lesson very real for me:
Never close the loop at “fixed.” Close it at “tested, verified and working as expected.”
