A new coalition launched this week aims to solve one of AI infrastructure's hardest problems, growing data center capacity without straining the grid or the communities around it.
@Google, @nvidia and Radical Ventures portfolio company @EmeraldAi_ launched the AI Energy Management Alliance, joined by 20+ companies including @AnthropicAI and major utilities and power producers. The premise is that data centers which flex their power use at peak times get faster grid connections in exchange. Google's already committed 1 gigawatt of reducible demand.
It's a sign that flexibility, not just scale, is becoming a core part of how the industry plans to grow.

Radical Ventures portfolio company Artificial.Agency built the first commercial game mode featuring real-time collaboration between one human player and multiple AI agents, shipping in close partnership with VR studio Owlchemy Labs in 2027. The new single-player mode for Dimensional Double Shift gives solo players a full crew of AI teammates that interpret intent, coordinate with each other, and adapt as gameplay unfolds — without changing the game’s core mechanics. Built on small, post-trained game-specific models that run at scale at marginal cost.
