A couple of our coworkers from @reiuniondurham wanted to say thank you to all the supporters in their community who’ve had our backs this year! Co-op members in Durham were committed to boycotting in May, meaning they also refused to cross the line while workers were on strike.✊
An REI co-op member sitting peacefully in her camp chair -- reading a book, wearing a hand-painted "Boycott REI" shirt, warmly greeting customers -- got arrested by six police officers yesterday at REI's Seattle flagship.
That's who REI called the cops on.
It didn't work. Co-op members' solidarity with workers is only growing stronger by the day.
Boycott REI now until May 25th. Stand with REI workers. BoycottREI.com
Thanks @hannahkrieg for the videos!
