Last week, we met at the College of Charleston for The Prohuman Foundation Symposium 2026: Renewing the Dream. We were honored to co-host this inaugural gathering of Prohuman Ambassadors, advisors, and supporters alongside the College of Charleston’s Civility Initiative. Our heartfelt gratitude to Prohuman Foundation advisor and Civility Initiative Director Michael Lee, whose leadership and partnership helped cultivate an atmosphere of true curiosity, warmth, and civil dialogue. Guided by the vision of brotherhood Dr. King called our nation to build, we spent three days focused on the foundation’s core values: growth mindset, positive connections, and social harmony. We heard from speakers—including Prohuman Foundation co-founder Daryl Davis and advisors Fred Luskin and Zander Keig—on curiosity, pluralism, compassion, forgiveness, and well-being. To everyone who walked along the waterfront, filled the Tate Center, and closed the evening with us at the Charleston Library Society: thank you for being a champion for the inherent dignity of every person, and for being an essential part of Renewing the Dream. @CofC

There's a parable, often cited between Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, about a king who exiled his son. Over years, the king's heart softened, so he sent messengers asking his son to return. Still bitter, the son replied that the distance was too far, so the king sent a final message: "Walk as far as you can according to your strength, and I will come the rest of the way to meet you." Yom Kippur, which begins tomorrow at sundown, calls all of us to inward reflection, forgiveness, and reconciliation. Here’s to finding the strength for that first step, whatever the distance. Politics didn't used to work like this: "the party should reflect voters' values — they shouldn't be setting values for voters." — @Lura_Forcum We get into purity tests, tribalism, and why disagreeing with your own side shouldn't make you a traitor to it. New episode is live. 🎧 🧵

On September 16, 2026, the Prohuman Foundation’s Renewing the Dream initiative reached an important milestone: the introduction of bipartisan legislation in Congress. Representatives Jamie Raskin (D-MD), Stephanie Bice (R-OK), Hank Johnson (D-GA), and Lauren Boebert (R-CO) officially introduced the bipartisan Renewing the Dream Act in the House of Representatives, joined by original cosponsors Representatives Andy Barr (R-KY) and Lucy McBath (D-GA). The legislation would authorize the National Park Service to replace the worn marker where Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his historic “I Have a Dream” speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial with a durable, dignified new design. The Prohuman Foundation is raising the funds for the marker through its Renewing the Dream initiative, with no taxpayer funding. Prohuman Foundation co-founder @RealDarylDavis joined Coleman Hughes (@coldxman) who asked what, if anything, we should teach children about racism. Daryl suggests we begin by teaching children what unites us, face history honestly, and don’t prejudice children against people they haven’t met. That’s the Prohuman K-12 Curriculum—addressing tough topics with hope and humanity, and treating every child as a unique individual united by our shared humanity. Prohuman Foundation advisor Rob Feld was in Washington D.C. for the 63rd anniversary of “I Have a Dream” and the launch of the foundation's Renewing the Dream initiative to revitalize the faded Lincoln Memorial plaque that marks the exact spot where MLK spoke. On the same day, Feld's essay, "What Our Heroes Tell Us About America," was published in @americanpurpose. It asks what happens when more of King’s FBI files enter public view in January 2027 and argues: “A childish culture needs spotless heroes. A cynical culture has none. A mature culture can tell necessary stories through flawed human beings.” persuasion.community/p/what-… @iamRobFeld

For @tabletmag, Prohuman Foundation advisor Michael Tobin wrote “The Dream We Let Fade.” A 1960s civil rights volunteer, he says King’s dream has weakened and needs the same tending as the faded plaque marking the exact spot where MLK delivered “I Have a Dream.” The essay dropped as Prohuman Foundation leaders stood behind that same plaque at the Lincoln Memorial 63 years later to launch Renewing the Dream. tabletmag.com/sections/commu…

Prohuman Foundation Leaders Follow in MLK's Footsteps: On Friday, the 63rd anniversary of the March on Washington, @prohuman_ co-founders Bion @bartning and @RealDarylDavis, joined by Avi Dresner, gathered on the historic steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Standing behind the now-faded stone marker where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his iconic “I Have a Dream” speech, they launched Renewing the Dream—a national campaign to revitalize MLK’s physical marker and re-anchor our country in his vision of brotherhood. With remarks by Liv and Asher Bartning, Bion’s children, the speakers reminded us that Dr. King’s legacy is not a static memory, but an active commitment to see each person as a unique member of one, shared human race. Watch their remarks here, and read more in Prohuman Pathways: beprohuman.substack.com/p/pr…
