🙌 The People's Environmental Justice Caucus, which includes @RashidaTlaib, @RepSummerLee and @Rep_Grijalva just came out in opposition to the Senate permitting bill, #BAAJA.
Thank you for standing with communities + our climate against this dirty deal! bit.ly/4dPxjli
🚨 New blog: BAAJA is the fossil fuel industry’s climate action kill switch. It would effectively make Trump’s disastrous EPA rollbacks law, neutering future administrations' power to advance clean energy and rein in fossil fuels. bit.ly/48bhkuj
Slightly lower emissions when we need to rapidly push emissions down to zero does nothing to end the climate crisis. Shaving a few percentage points from relentlessly rising energy prices only fails to address the affordability crisis caused by overreliance on fossil fuels.
Read our analysis of the models being used to promote the bill. They only serve to expose its epic failings. We need to stop this bill now. bit.ly/48bhkuj

The UN climate fund for loss and damage has allocated its first-ever funding: $21.6M for Nepal’s flood recovery.
But Nepal needs $4.7B to recover, while G7 countries spend $25.7B/yr propping up fossil fuels.
Communities need funding NOW, not more delays.

The Loss and Damage fund has approved a decision to set aside $21.6m for Nepal’s flood recovery efforts.
While DCJ welcomes this allocation, it has raised concerns over delays in disbursing the funds & inadequate levels of support.

Who really benefits from Asia’s energy transition?
Japan remains the top provider of international public finance for prolonging fossil fuel dependence, harming communities, and risking our collective future.
The struggle for climate justice is a struggle for economic justice and people’s power 🌏⚡✊
We cannot allow Japanese public finance to lock Asia into expensive, risky fossil fuels.
