ALT Points made for paid charity streams: Streamers should be compensated for their work. Not all streamers can afford to do charity work for free. Both the streamers and the charity get paid, so it's a win-win. People who work for charities get paid for their work - streamers should too.
ALT Points made against paid charity streams: It invites people who only care about the paycheck - not the actual cause. There's a risk of low ROI - the rate of some streamers could be higher than what they'd be able to bring in for the charity. Viewers could see the fundraising efforts as disingenuous.
