Lovely.
Her six siblings who died before the age of five were unavailable for comment.

It’s actually crazy how you grow up thinking home-cooked meals every day are just normal, then get older and realise how much time and effort it took your Mom to make that happen and how lucky you were to have that.

Not a single day has passed in these years without Palestinian children being brutally killed. Not a single day.

I kept my passes from KQ flights 202 and 203 to and fro Mumbai on 15/16 October 2025. I couldn’t tell you what the toughest part of the day was, receiving the news in the morning or taking that flight to Mumbai. But I digress. I want to say Ahsante sana to some key people who made everything possible in very difficult circumstances.
1. The Indian High Commission in Nairobi and the Indian Government. I don’t know how many rules of international travel were bent to make that flight happen. Ahsante sana.
2. @KenyaAirways management and the flight crew led by Capt. Saviemaria Ondego. Absolute class. Bwana on the way back we thought our tears had dried then she hit us with that call change to RAO001 when we entered our airspace. Wacha tu. God bless.
3. The regular passengers on those two flights. Many were bumped off. Heavy seat changes to accommodate the delegation. Long delays especially on flight 202. Many had no idea what was happening until we were airbone and the captain made the announcement. Apologies for the inconveniences on that day, but you were very gracious. God bless.
4. The @kdfinfo . Bwana for the honor extended to Baba, we his people will forever be grateful. Salute🫡

This is the hell on earth they call a “ceasefire”. Every single day, new bombings and new deaths, just a slower genocide. Imagine our news cycle if this was an Israeli child. May God comfort these children, and punish their oppressors. Ameen

"Do your own research," they said.
So I did
28 years, a medical degree, a PhD, and three postgraduate diplomas in infectious diseases later, I conclude that vaccines save millions of lives and do not cause autism.
Every time science unveils the intricate details of our existence, I am left in awe of Allah, whose Greatness is reflected in even the smallest details of His creation✨. “ So which of the favours of your Lord would you deny?”Qur’an 55:13.

When I did my PhD in computational neuroscience a long time ago, optogenetics was the new thing. It honestly looked like magic.
You could shine light on a neuron and switch it on or off. Turn memories on. Turn memories off. Map emotion and behavior cell by cell, in a living brain. It transformed the field almost overnight.
Today, its pioneers, Karl Deisseroth, Peter Hegemann and Georg Nagel, won the Nobel Prize in Medicine.
And it all started with a simple question: how does a single-celled alga swim toward light?
This is why we fund basic research 💪

My take home from the banter between Kenyans and South Africans is that our educational system is trash and it’s evident from the way we tweet. It’s just banter but you can tell Kenyans are highly intelligent and way ahead of us intellectually.
