We welcome the European Council's decision to adopt the Plastic Packaging and Waste Regulation, which will reduce #plastic packaging waste by:
🔘 Restricting single use plastic packaging
🔘 Boosting re-use
🔘 Creating minimum recycled content targets

It was great to meet the visiting delegation from JPEC (Japan Petroleum and Carbon Neutral Fuels Energy Center) 🇯🇵 to discuss trends in the #chemicalrecycling market, including regulatory and policy drivers in Europe.
The potential for the #circulareconomy for plastics in Japan is huge – with strong government support, including through last year’s GX (Green Transformation) package, which aims to achieve Japan’s 2030 and 2050 climate change goals through technology, investment and policy.

It was great to attend the @BritishSpanish scholarship awards at the @EmbSpainUK 🇪🇸🇬🇧
We have been supporting the British-Spanish Society scholarship programme for a number of years. This year's scholarship goes to Álvaro Doblado Onieva, to support his research at @unikent🎓
